"Qu'on a le devoir d'appeler l'hotel car on ne sejournera pas finalement dans cet hotel, je comprend. Qu'on nous facture quand même malgré qu'on doit etre à l'hôpital plutot qu'a l'hôtel, je comprend. Que la facture il n'y a pas de mal à l'encaisser pour ne nous etre non présenté, je comprend. Mais par contre ne pas etre capable d'envoyer une p.... de facture et devoirs sans cesse demandé alors quon a dautre chose a faire.... ca je comprend rien... peut être a l'hôpital aussi???"

"From checking in to checking out, everything was simple and friendly. The hotel is as clean as you could want it to be, it is in a lovely, tranquil setting..I honestly couldn't have asked for more."

"Although it’s unassuming when you arrive the back of the property is beautiful, with a terrace, pool and riverbank. Great start, great dinner and breakfast, spotlessly clean room. We enjoyed our stay and would have liked to stay longer."

"Lovely old house, very comfy with nice sized rooms, the home cooked food I had on my first night was excellent. Nice hosts who attend to what's needed but also leave you be so you feel you have privacy and solitude. Nice location for getting into Le Dorat. "

"This was a peaceful place with a lovely hostess who gave us some eggs from her hens. There is a tiny table with two chairs outside the door and a larger space with garden furniture under a canopy further down the garden, although this would be more comfortable if it could be contrived to put it on level ground. The living space was fine for two people."

"We loved our stay here. The gite is huge - massive large living space, large bedrooms (with very comfy beds) and a big walk in shower with double sink layout. Although the site is shared with another Gite and BandB guests the layout means everyone has total privacy and only the pool is shared. Beautiful gardens out the back - horses to pet in the paddock. So peaceful and calm, we loved it. A little remote - 15-20 mins drive to nearest shops."

"The photographs of this property do not do it justice, it really is lovely and very clean. The property is set in a stunning courtyard on a working farm which is interesting but not noisy. I have never heard birds sing as beautifully as at this property. We were in the area for a family wedding and I was looking for a property nearby to chill out in when not at the wedding events. The pool is heated to a pleasant temperature and our private garden, which had a lovely variety of established trees...

Best Stay Ever !!

"Wow what can I say - we had a fantastic 2 week holiday at the Chateau and hope to return one day Highlights - the house furnishings and grounds , the equipment and a very special mention to Nicolas , the manager who was so helpful and even took it upon himself to cook us the local delicacy- he is a credit to the place !Montmorillon is a delight Criticisms - not anything I can immediately think of to be honest . The local villages are very quiet in late May/early June and the bars /cafes open periodically. Maybe a schedule of what is open when in Journet and La Trimouille would be helpful but that is nit -picking Thank you Stephen !!! "
