Calm and peaceful place. I recommend the funicular. There are many shops and restaurants at the top of the hill. Beautiful views.

"Bed was very hard. I did ask for a mattress topper but it was so thin that it made no difference. Paper cups in the room were disappointing. Would have expected proper cups given that we had tea and coffee making facilities. Glasses for water were also plastic. Tea and coffee were not replenished ..."

Its a great town, had great restaurants and bars. I was on business, so this was a plus. Did not get out for shopping, so no help there. From what I saw and heard a great Tourist Town. A must see in Tuscany.

Hot springs, but no warm baths!? Don´t go there if you want to swim, the only place with a hot spring pool is Grotto Giusto, go there and stay att that hotel.

Make sure to visit Montecatini Alto, Beautiful sites and dining options are wonderful. A short tram ride up the mountainside and a great outing.
