"Well organized, comfortable and cozy. Hot tub on the deck was very nice. Great deck! Though several close neighboring cabins, It was quiet and pretty private. There was a question to the host late evening which was promptly responded to and all was well! Thank you! We enjoyed our stay!"

The restaurant was closed, but the Hyatt was 8 minutes away, and was told by the helpful person there that the restaurant will open again soon. "Base Camp Cabin #4 is an immaculate, very comfortable 3 bedroom, 2 bath rental close to Mt. Shasta City. The neighborhood is super quiet, there is a nature walk across the street and it's only about a 5 minute drive to town. The cabin is charming, and well-stocked. We didn't end up cooking there, but the kitchen had pretty much all that you'd need to cook and there is a coffee maker and plenty of coffee (a must for me!). "If ever I were to own a cabin, it would be of the design of this one. Rustic feel with solid and complete foundational amenities. Greats: cathedral ceiling/loft/windows, large porch, bbq, wood stove, no TV, solid internet, great shower and bathroom, firm and comfortable mattresses. Nit-picky cons: jacuzzi isn't really a traditional hot tub, 30 min drive to/from Ashland on a very winding (yet picturesque) road, check-out time of 10am with $35 fee to extend to noon.
