"We stayed for 10 nights at the start of October. The villa had everything required for a wonderful stay, and was fully equipped for a perfect self catering break. Fabulous views over Plakias bay, really enjoyed watching the sheep ambling across the mountainside towards Myrthios and listening to the faint tinkle of their Swiss cow bells. "Dieses einfache Ferienhaus liegt 1km außerhalb des kleinen Dorfs Rodakino und ist sehr gut über die Küstenstrasse zu erreichen. Der nächst größere Ort Plakias ist zwar nur 15km aber auf der kurvigen Strecke 30min entfernt. Das Haus hat eine geschmackvolle Einrichtung, ein großes bequemes Bett und volle Küchenausstattung. "Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Die Zimmer sind sehr großzügig geschnitten und liebevoll eingerichtet. Alles Notwendige ist vorhanden. Nicht alles ist ganz neu, aber das unterstreicht den Charme des Hauses. Highlights waren für uns die große mit Wein überwachsene Terrasse und die vielen schattigen Plätzchen, z.B. unter dem Orangenbaum am Pool. Klitzekleiner Kritikpunkt: Die Matratzen in den Betten waren für uns eher hart, das ist sicher Geschmackssache. Fazit: Absolut empfehlenswert."

"My husband & I and two other couples stayed at Penelope Home for 5 nights. The home is located about halfway between the 2 airports on Crete. (About an hour each direction) We liked the central location and enjoyed hikes, caves, the beach and other activities. The suggestions for restaurants and bakeries by our host were spot on. The host also handled our transfers which was very much appreciated."

"Alles in allem sehr schön. Ruhig, schöner Pool, sehr nette und hilfsbereite housekeeperin. Schnelle Kommunikation mit Vermieterin. Alles vorhanden was man braucht. Allerdings viele Krabbeltiere. Fliegengitter vor den Schiebefenstern und -Türen wäre extrem gut. Allerdings müsste man das Haus dann auch besser abdichten. Es dauert ewig (mehrere Minuten) bis heißes Wasser da ist. Fussboden ist wohl an einigen Stellen nass geworden. Müsste erneuert werden."

The house perhaps needs some updating and attention to detail but was very homely and comfortable for our stay. Costas was very welcoming and intentive to our needs. "We wanted to experience Crete's culture. You really cannot do that when you stay in a hotel with 500 or your favorite friends!! This Villa is located about 30 minutes from Rethymno. Nestled in the foothills surrounded by olive orchards at about 1100 feet above sea level. We were there for 18 days. We discovered a Taverna (Mina's) in Garazo about 15 minutes away. The owners MADE our stay! Genuine Cretan food and hospitality."

"Lovely hotel, in a stunning beachfront location, with a private beach. Wonderfully attentive staff throughout the hotel, in particular Anna who worked around the pool, and in the restaurant in the evenings was fabulous. The buffet options in the main restaurant were pretty good for breakfast and dinner. And the other restaurants - which you pay extra for, had truly delicious food.. in all of them as. Despite the hotel being full, it never felt busy. Evening entertainment could be better, the singer we saw a couple of times unfortunately was not the best. All in all a fantastic stay!"
