"I have spent 20 years visiting the New Forrest for holidays and I wish I had found this place before, it is a gem. The owner Chris was extremely welcoming, friendly, knowledgeable and accomodating. We enjoyed our stay so much that we booked another stay for later on this year while we were there. I cannot recommend this location highly enough."

"Great location! We found ourselves 10 minutes by car to the beach and shops. It was a nice quiet neighborhood with street parking. We enjoyed the accommodations. They were spacious, comfortable and met all our needs. The hosts Katherine and Dave were responses and kind and made the stay just perfect! We would stay again!"

"Property was perfect for our gathering. Decor was fantastic and full of personality. Personalised reception was appreciated. Endless rooms with different combinations of bed to suit everyone. Kitchen table comfortably fitted 12 for dinner. Bathrooms a little basic. Working fireplace was a lovely touch. We had a fantastic celebration and this property was a big part of that."

"Lovely property full of character, but what sets it apart is the beautiful location on the edge of the National Trust estate. Such a lovely setting. Communication with the owner was excellent, and it was very reasonably priced compared to other options we looked at. Highly recommend!"

"We have just returned from a wonderful weekend stay at Delux Modern House. The house is very well equipped, very clean and in a perfect location. So near the beach with its SOBO bar so close to enjoy. John our host went above and beyond to help make our stay very enjoyable. "Great lodging! A very short walk from the train station, and yet very quiet. Smelled fresh, very clean. Our 1 bedroom was terrific. Full kitchen, living space with couch and tall desk table. Bathroom tiny but worked for us…and so clean! Bed was comfy. Front desk person was kind and welcoming. This place was ideal for a one night stay AND would be terrific as a base for several nights while exploring the area. Easy train to Southampton, and also to Bath. Busses that go to Stonehenge. "We had a lovely staycation at The Nici. The stay surpassed our expectations. Check in was easy, we were given the most beautiful room facing the sea and pool area. It had a lovely comfy new bed, sitting area and well appointed bathroom with bathtub and shower. We were totally blown away by the facilities, the beautifully decorated inside spaces and the dreamy spa with large heated outdoor pool were top notch. The location of the hotel is great, a short walk from the beach and pier area making it a good place to explore the area by foot. The only negative we could find is the extortionate cost of parking, and we honestly felt this could have been at very least reduced for people staying in the hotel. Fortunately we got lucky and found some on street parking for our stay. We also felt that it was a shame that breakfast wasn’t included in the stay for a hotel of this kind of price point/quality as it was expensive to add on. The hotel is new and there is still some building work going on. This didn’t detract too much from the stay but I’d be excited to return once it was fully finished. "
