In an excellent position near the beach of Cala de Mijas, on the Spanish coast, this holiday home has a private fenced terrace with barbecue facilities to enjoy the evenings. It makes a great stay for several families and offers a fantastic view of the sea and the mountains. Mijas-Costa is a synonym for relaxation and enjoyment. This stay is next to the town centre and a walking distance from the beach, restaurants and supermarkets. If you wish to relax in the fresh sea breeze, you know what to do. Golf enthusiasts can easily reach the La Cala Golf Resort at 1 km. Big cities like Granada with the famous Alhambra, Málaga with the Pablo Picasso museum, Marbella, etc. are in immediate proximity. The holiday home has indoor heating and an air-conditioned living room for a pleasant stay. You can have your meals outdoors on the patio. There is a coffee machine to grab a quick cup of coffee anytime. A washing machine is provided to help with laundry. The airport is 35 km.

Location perfect. House clean but needs upgrading. Wc extremely smelly to the point of making us ill
Located beside the beach and within walking distance of restaurants, bars & shops. Overall cleanliness was good but lost stars for downstairs bathroom being extremely foul smelling for our entire stay and no help or action taken by the company or key holder upon reporting of this problem. The smell was so bad our party were left feeling ill. Toilet was located right in the middle of the house which meant everywhere smelt bad. When I contacted the key holder regarding the smell I was told there was nothing they could do as it came from outside.
If so then why didn't the 2 other bathrooms smell??
The sos team told me that they would contact the key holder to try get something sorted but "they didn't think they spoke a lot of English so it might be an issue". This was of little comfort to us.
Nothing got resolved during our stay. While I was at the airport about to board my flight I received a missed call & an email from the sos team. Which said 'we've been trying to reach you regarding the issue you reported.'
Too late team.. We were on our way home.
The house needs some money spent on upgrading and some tlc. Stained bedclothes, stained bedframes, old mismatched stained chipped delph, kitchen appliances which are a throwback to the 70's. TV & dvd player in upstairs bedroom at least 20yr old. Although we didn't use main TV downstairs I feel if you're going to supply a TV it should be modern and up to date. Sitting room sofa had old torn stained sheets as a protective cover.
These are not reasonable expectations of a holiday home when you've paid a substantial amount for (which according to review rules I'm not allowed mention amount) 6 days stay. Surely some of this money can be spent on upgrades.
We were left feeling let down and disappointed.

Generelt bra standard
Uteplassen var veldig bra, brukt hele tiden. Badene var litt slitne, særlig toalettene. Beliggenhet var kjempefin, med kort vei til stranden. Og kort vei til butikk, og mange bra spisesteder. Stedet kan godt anbefales. Og kan godt tenke oss tilbake.
