"We always enjoy staying here. I was disappointed at a dinner at the Italian restaurant. We ate there twice. The first time the staff was pleasant and kind and we had a great time. I am Greek so was able to order and communicate in Greek. The second time my husband went with our 3 boys. They do not speak Greek so the waiter decided to charge them 4 times the original price for bread. I realized that when I went to meet them at the restaurant and looked at their bill. The waiter was surprised we caught the error and went to go tell a lady behind the cash. As he approached her they both laughed while they fixed the mistake. Very very disappointing. We love the resort but all it takes is one dishonest employee to change your opinion about something. "

"A great week at a great new(ish) resort! We loved popping into Gialova for dinner most nights and the hotel concierge happily arranged reservations and a taxi. Just 10 euros each way if you don’t want to walk. Highly recommend Anama, Elia and Kochili Fish in particular. Overall very good service and lovely friendly staff with a few very minor exceptions. A few small teaks could make this even better. More wait staff able to take orders at breakfast and pool, more local affordable shops including a pharmacy, slightly lower price point for pool side drinks and food and watersports. Spa massages were excellent!"

"Beautiful hotel with a gorgeous pool and beach area. Breakfast was delicious, with coffee of choice, if you wanted to order something special. Myself, I just like a strong black coffee which I helped myself to. The view from my balcony of the sea and mountain was especially soothing and peaceful. Staff were friendly and readily available to answer any questions. Great restaurants within minutes on the beach and all had excellent seafood. love grilled calamari and that was readily available at all. There are mini markets within a 5 minute walk if you want to pick up extra beer or wine. I arrived from Athens on the express bus (3hrs)and from the Kalamata bus station caught the bus that goes along the beach which dropped me off just past the hotel entrance. Cost was 1.5 euro, took about 25 mins. Kalamata is so peaceful, Horizon blue is a laid back and wonderful hotel. "

"The hotel was very well kept, even the partial sea view was better than expected. Room was clean and spacious for the price. Bathroom was quite small but still very functional. Staff was Amazing, very friendly, helpful and ahowed they truly cared about our stay. Would stay again."

"Great property and location. Restaurant has amazing buffet breakfast. Lunch and dinner menu and food quality is very high. Beds are comfortable. Loved the beach and pool. We had a special request which the hotel accommodated without question and promptly. A very enjoyable stay. Stay again? Absolutely!!"

"The Goatshed was exactly as described. Unique rustic accommodation with everything you could need provided. The welcome pack exceeded anything we have had before with lots of local provisions. The hosts were second to none, so welcoming and helpful, gave us a guided tour of the area with tips of the best places to visit. Be prepared for the sounds of the Greek countryside, goats, chickens, dogs, cats, owls, birds and bees. Sunscreen and mosquito spray required. Koroni is a lively place to eat with plenty of of restaurants serving Greek specialities on the harbour side. Lovely beaches nearby with bars if that's your thing."
