The Merindades are located between the Cantabrian Mountains, the Ebro Valley and the Meseta, which makes this area an unknown natural oasis. It has 4 natural parks: the Ojo Guareña Natural Monument, the Natural Monument of Monte Santiago, the Hoces del Alto Ebro and Rudrón Natural Park and the Montes Obarenses-San Zadornil Natural Park. All of them full of routes to see impressive waterfalls, wonderful forests and spectacular views, as well as an extensive fauna and flora.

Besides being able to enjoy its varied nature, Merindades is also a cultural treasure: its hermitages and Romanesque churches, its medieval bridges, its villages full of history ...

On the other hand, it is a center from which to visit cities such as Bilbao, Santander or Burgos or have a beach day on the Cantabrian coast.

And, at the same time you visit all these places, you can enjoy its rich and varied cuisine: magnificent meats, dairy products, delicious mushrooms, or delicious honey ..., are just a few examples of this.

Una zona increiblemente bella y a la vez tranquila. Todo un descubrimiento.
Una casa muy completa y limpia, tiene prácticamente todo lo necesario para la estancia. Un jardín estupendo sobre todo si llevas mascota. También se pueden dar largos paseos con el perro por caminos al lado de la casa. Un lugar muy tranquilo pero a la vez comunicado. El patrimonio cultural y natural de la zona de las Merindades es increíble y creo que poco conocido. Preciosos pueblos, maravillosas iglesias románicas, fantásticas cascadas y agua por todos lados, paisajes verdes de una gran belleza. Los dueños muy agradables y cercanos. Todo un descubrimiento!
