"The mark of a good rental in my opinion is whether you would rent it again and l will! I loved the design and feel of this house. Above the living quarters was a nice deck with a great view and nice area for meditation and yoga. The bed and pillows were nice comfortable and clean. The outdoor bathroom had a great view the lake, yet was private. There were plenty of Tuk-Tuks going by to catch a ride into San Marcos. Alsoutdoor bathroom wascomfortable. "

"Really enjoyed my one night at this beautiful little lake "cabin". Paula, the manager, was especially helpful with everything and communicated promptly with me when I had any questions, even outside normal business hours. Thank you Paula! It is accessed via a private dock and is tricky to access after normal lancha run-times from San Marcos, so plan accordingly and buy your supplies beforehand. "Juan and his son did an amazing job building this house. You will definitely experience the birds that live in the trees around the property and gorgeous views of the lake. With downtown a mere 10-15 minute walk away, Tzikin Jaay is a perfect spot to stay with a family. We loved it and will be back for sure!!! Thank you Juan"

"I loved everything about this hotel. The views were stunning. The bathroom was so beautiful. My bed was so comfortable. I usually travel to explore but I booked this hotel specifically to relax and enjoy the hotel itself. Food and drinks were good as well. You can hear everything from the nearby rooms and the dogs will wake you up at 5:30am, but just in time for sunrise. The area itself is full of backpackers and hippies, not my scene but I stayed in the hotel. A 3 min walk is a park where you can jump off into the lake. I stayed on a rainy Sunday night so I didnt experience the loud music from neighboring spots. No ac but the fan was perfect. Definitely will stay here again."
