"Shelley was an amazing host. Always there tongreet you and help if you needed anything! I cannot say enough nice things about her. Our beachfront cabana was next to the bar. They did warn us ahead of our stay, but decided to go with it anyway. There were times it was loud, but not unbearable and worth the view on the beach and price. Julias is in a great location within walking distance of everything. For this reason we didnt need a car rental. Loved Placencia!"

"This is a very cool little cluster of cabanas and a bar/restaurant on a legit TINY island. The staff is great, the food is decent, and the snorkeling could be better, but overall it was a fun stay. We were the only ones staying on the island, which was pretty cool."

"Our stay was comfortable, with a good distance of walking to Lobster fest. Our room was pretty clean, provided all the amenities mentioned, and even soap and towels. There were some leftover, used things of soap that were still in the shower area from visitors past. It was hard to find our place at first, and even as I was sitting in my hammock one of the days, some visitors had to ask me to help them find their building. But overall, once we got settled it was a great spot to stay at."

"First off, the owners and manager are awesome. They are very responsive, and communicate very well. The location was perfect for us, in the middle of Hopkins town. You are able to get the feel for day to day life of the residence. The people were fantastic. The place is nice and quaint, but we loved it. My wife and I both agree, the only thing it was lacking was a couch in the lounge. But honesty, we loved the place and our time in Belize. Nice work!!"

"I have already submitted a review. Placencia is a beautiful unspoiled gem. The beaches are spectacular. Carol's Cabanas - Tarpon is located on the main st and very noisy into the wee hours. As it was very inexpensive my expectations were not high BUT it was clean, had 2 bedrooms, a kitchenette ( no oven) a screened porch and suitable bathroom facilities. "Great place to get away. Jovani made sure we were comfortable. Short walk to beach but we had it mostly to ourselves. Walking distance to a couple places to eat (loved the Brew Barge). Would definitely stay again."

"We always say, “Heaven just seems closer at the Beach.” Well you can’t get much closer to the beach than here. Everything was absolutely wonderful and “King Lewey” is a very entertaining, welcoming host. The staff was incredible with our every need or want cheerfully fulfilled. They even took my husband to the flats nearby so he could fly-fish. The cabanas are impeccably clean and, of course, decorated with a tropical theme. They are well furnished down to the Starbucks coffee beans and grinder...

"First, we were told we wouldn't need to meet anyone there, that there would be a lock-box and we could just get in. The cabana was hard to find and not marked (to know which one was ours), and the combination we were given was wrong. The wifi information we were given was also wrong, and the wifi network we were given access to barely worked. It looks like there is a dedicated router at the location, but it was disconnected. Amenities listed that were not in fact included: -Washer and Dryer...

"Excellent place, new,fresh, clean, stylish. Up on stilts so you get a nice breeze. Just as pics appeared. Only real concern is that the driveway is sandy and taxis got stuck repeatedly. Just needs some gravel. Had a little trouble contacting the property manager to work out an early check in but staff were friendly and helpful."

"If you want to disconnect from the outside world then this is the place. We loved our time here with Dustin, Kim, and Ama. The food Kim prepared was some of the best we’ve had anywhere and the company during our stay was delightful. We snorkeled before breakfast on our own around the island and after breakfast Dustin and Ama would take us on kayaks to a reef off one of the neighboring islands where we found conch, and other fresh fish and seafood for our meals. We had an absolute amazing time!...

"This property was just what we were looking for. Although you can’t swim in the river, listening to the birds, kayaking and sitting in the screened in porch to enjoy the river were great for us. We did rent a car for three of our seven days to go hiking in Mayflower Bocawina NP and drove to Placencia one day. The bikes were great to go to Hopkins and we also walked once. Anthony was great at answering our questions and we bought some groceries and cooked some meals as well as enjoyed local...
