"Great breakfast and a very decent hotel if you’re seeing family or doing business on the west side. Have stayed here more than once and would again. "
"The studio was nice, clean, and a perfect size for one or two people. Immediately felt like home and unko danny was kind, hospitable, and easy to get in touch with. for those not from the area, mākaha stay pretty far away from a lot of major conveniences and staying in the country does mean the occasional roach inside (canʻt necessarily be prevented) just so you are aware. the studio had everything i needed during my one week. it was a great value and i would stay again."
"We typically stay on the Waikiki side of the island when we visit Oahu, but we decided to stay away from the crowds and stay in the Makaha area. We were literally on the beachfront and had the best view. The unit was clean and we had all the things we needed for a great stay. The pull out bed was very comfortable and you could hear the ocean every night. We were a bit far from all the activities, but it was worth it. Our host was very accommodating and we would definitely stay here again."
"This place was incredible! The photos are spot on with the beauty and closeness of the beach! This place had everything we needed: cooler, beach chairs, beach towels, washer and dryer, hair dryer, iron, all the kitchen items needed to cook (we didn’t cook there though)! I do feel like the inside pictures don’t go the place justice though. The furniture is much nicer than it appears in the photos—high quality wicker items. I’ve already shared this place with many family members and friends! I’m so happy we chose not to stay in one of the busy tourist areas. The drive into the tourist areas (Pearl Harbor, Downtown Waikiki) was kind of a bummer, but the mountain scenery was beautiful.
If you’re a hiker, my husband hiked/climbed the mountain right by the condo. We also went to a trail that was called Kaʻena Point Trail. It was mostly flat, so non-experts like me were able to utilize it. There is hardly any shade, so be aware of that beforehand.
There is a gem of a restaurant only about six minutes away from the condo. It is on an Army base, but civilians are able to go to it. Some people online said you needed an ID to get in, but they did not check our IDs when we went. It’s called The Beach House by 604. Coquito’s nearby is also good. We loved their Tres Leches cake.
The surrounding area (not the condo itself or on the street the condo was on) was a little sketchy when we went to Longs Drug Store around 8 PM one night, but no one approached us or anything like that. "
"We had a wonderful time at this property. The condo was very clean and the communication with the owner was prompt and always positive. The condo has everything you would need to have a relaxing time on a semi-private beach that is beautiful. The property is located in a remote location of the island that very much appealed to us. There is a full grocery story located just to the south of the property. If you want the convenience of upscale restaurants and shopping, you should stay in the city. If you want to experience the lifestyle of the locals, this is your place. We enjoyed the food trucks, talking to the residents of the property and the peace and quiet that this condo has to offer. We would definitely stay here again if we come back. "
