Adaquate but a bit disappointing
The pictures are misleading as they must have been taken when the unit was just redone and now it is really showing the wear and tear of use. As well the pictures make the unit look bigger and newer than it actually is. For 4 people it would be tight but for the two of us it was adequate. It should be noted that this is a 4 story walkup (no elevator) on worn stairs that have a definite slope. If you are older like us and have anything heavy it can be a challenge to walk up the 80 steps caring your luggage. Don’t expect a smart tv that you can cast your table too or anything but Spanish channels. So unless you go out every evening expect to bring your own entertainment. The unit is fairly quiet and you don’t hear a lot of street noise but anything that happens inside the building carries up the stairs and can be heard quite loudly. It is a great location as you can walk to just about anything you'd like to see. Daniel our contact person was great and very responsive to all of our requests or concerns.

We loved this Vrbo!
This Vrbo was perfect for 4 days in Madrid. It is in a great location and everything was very clean. Daniel was also incredibly responsive and provided us with great recommendations. Would highly recommend this Vrbo to anyone looking to stay in Madrid for a few days.

Great stay in Madrid!
We stayed at this apartment before and after walking the Camino de Santiago. It’s located near all the restaurants, shopping area and historical attractions but is very quiet as soon as you enter the building. It had everything we needed to prepare our own breakfast and Daniel was excellent with communication and more.

Great location!
Location of this apartment is in Puerta del Sol, so, just want we wanted to experience! shopping and restaurants just a few meters away! everything within walking distance! Communication with host and housekeeping was excellent, suuuper nice people, they helped all the way!

Great Location but the walk up is 100 steps
Was happy to be in the downtown core And could walk everywhere. The stairs were challenging at the end of the day. [ note we are seniors] Glad i had a small suitcase. The unit itself was quite comfy and well appointed. Daniel was reachable when we had an issue with the toilet and the code. Very old building which was surprisingly quiet . Could not get the AC on which in the end did not need.

The code given was incorrect and then bo toilet paper and the curtain and rods fell off the wall. We finally did get the correct code and toilet paper arrived. The curtain and rod stayed in the couch. We managed.

Great place, walkable to main attractions
Very good location. So thrilled we were close to everything. We enjoyed the apartment and found it had everything we needed. We didnt mind the stairs but were thankful to be warned! The neighbors were repectfully quiet. Communication with the host was perfect. We did need to get some basic supplies when we arrived- paper towels, conditioner, laundry detergent. But the place had all you need- oven, tea kettle, large fridge, washer (and drying rack/not a machine dryer), hair dryer, etc. We will book again on our next visit.

Excelente ubicación en edificio clásico del centro de Madrid por lo que no tiene elevador. Pero el resto esta bien y la ubicación es la mejor, centro histórico (plaza mayor ) bocas de metro, tiendas (Corte Inglés, Fnac) comida excelente (mercado San Miguel) y caminando in poco mas Museo el prado. La pasamos muy bien y el Host muy atento, estuvo pendiente y contestó siempre.

The apartment is small but has everything that is needed. Location is right in the heart of Madrid next to famous Saint Gines Chocolateria. It is on the fourth floor so be prepared to walk 87 steps😊to get upstairs 😊

The location was excellent, which allowed us to access any spot in old Madrid we'd like to visit. The kitchen and the bathroom had everything we needed. The cleaning staff was very helpful. However, 1. The website indicates that it is a room for 4 people, but there was only 1 king bed and a long sofa. 2. The air conditioner and the fan both worked very hard, but not powerful enough. It was still very hot (40 degree outside) and we can hardly sleep. 3. The hallway was dark. Since there was no elevator we had to carry all the luggage to the top floor (4th floor). 4. The guests of the 1st and 2nd floors were having party until 3 a.m, running and yelling in the hallway.

We loved the location of this property. Close walk from SOL station. Near Plaza Mayor. We walked to the Prado, Parque de Retiro and the Palace. The property was clean. The only complaint is the queen bed was not super comfy. The property manager communicated well and was very kind.

Espectacular ubicación
La propiedad tiene una ubicación insuperable literalmente arriba de la chocolatería san gines, solo metros de la plaza mayor. Muy bien equipado y limpio. Lo Unico que no tiene ascensor y es en el ultimo piso pero igual vale la pena. Daniel muy responsable incluso dejaron un botellón de agua y leche en la nevera para nosotros. 100% recomendable esta propiedad

Perfect location with a really comfy bed!!
You can't beat this location. My husband and I did not mind the extra exercise we got taking the stairs, but if you hate stairs/exercise - you might not love this unit on the 4th floor. It was very comfortable and peaceful and we had everything we needed. Ramiro was a fantastic host and made tons of recommendations and even guided us on a Segway tour of parts of the city we would not have been able to see without the guidance - AWESOME!

Perfect spot in midst of big city energy
This apartment provided a surprisingly quiet place to rest right in the midst of Madrid’s hot spots. This is exactly what culture-seeking tourists will appreciate because of its utmost location right in the middle of main streets and buzzing cafe corners. We really appreciated the exceptional service of our host, who allowed us to store our luggage earlier than checkin time. Amanda communicated clearly and directly and arranged for our stay graciously. The space was clean, comfortable, and would be a great spot to stay for short or longer term for a person or couple who wanted the urban experience. One note: be ready to climb 3-4 flights of stairs because there’s no lift.
