Ocean Getaway - Relax on the Water

This is an authentic log home (1900 sf). While the look is rustic, it has all the modern conveniences you’ve come to expect. The entire first floor is handicapped accessible. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything a willing cook will need, while on the deck a gas grill waits for outdoor cooking. Watch a movie or game in the living room, while a sunset displays its beautiful colors just beyond the wall of windows overlooking the ocean. You can take the chill off an evening with a crackling fire in the fireplace. The master suite has a separate TV, private full bath, and optional private entrance. A washer and dryer are located in the half bath down the hall. On the second floor you’ll find two large bedrooms with two full beds in each, as well as a full bath - with tub. A loft with a cozy reading nook completes the upstairs hideaway. There is an ocean view from every room in this house.

Outside you can enjoy the view of the ocean from a rocking chair on the screened porch or the deck. A short 75 foot path makes access to the ocean and private beach easy. Swim on the beach (if you dare to brave the cool waters of Maine), skip rocks, rock hound, bird watch, look for fossils, or use the paddle boat or canoe to explore the quiet cove.

Area attractions include four lighthouses within 15 miles. One of them, picturesque West Quoddy Head Light with its red and white stripes, is the most eastern point in the United States. There are sandy beaches, as well as, bold coastal cliffs. Campobello Island, Canada (passport required) is only a 10 minute drive and well worth the visit. Like Hiking? The Lubec area has three state parks, a national wildlife refuge, and several nature preserves all with trails to see nature at its best. Chartered boat trips are available for viewing whales, seals, eagles, or puffins. And don’t forget the fresh seafood served in local restaurants or available for you to cook back at the ocean getaway.

Your perfect place to rest, relax, and recharge might just be our Ocean Getaway.

Perfect Setting For A Spring Adventure
Our stay was 5 star all the way. The cabin was located with a beautiful, extended view up the cove so we could watch the tides and weather from the comfort of the cabin. The isolated property was perfect for letting our dogs run free. We were the first guests of the year and woke up the first morning to 4" of snow over everything. The property manager helped us quickly get power restored and the cabin was warm and cozy as we waited for spring to arrive. I got a photo of the West Quoddy lighthouse in snow that will remind us of our wonderful stay in Lubec.

Lovely location with extremely attentive owner/manager
We choose this location for its waterfront location. It was lush, well tended and secluded. The kayaks and outdoor fire pit made for wonderful memories. (Especially with seals swimming about a foot away.) Epic stargazing! We had a series of unfortunate events with our car .. the owner and manager went well out their way to help us. We are ever grateful. We can't wait to visit Lubec again.

Love Lubec
Cabin is so lovely. Carson {caretaker} was great guy, helpful w/ info, available if needed, fun to meet. Owners have provided a beautiful space w/ the quiet & solitude that one comes north for. Many adventures to be had. Went to Cutler (you’ll figure out how to get there) found a fish pound, fellow rowed out to his Lobster boat & brought us two 1.5 lb.ers for less than 1 cull in the city! 4 Eagles in back & tons of wildlife. Lubec folk are excellent and don’t miss Water Street Restaurant. Truely a “No Reservations” type experience!

Amazing views with constant relaxation
We had an amazing time. The house was on an amazing piece of property in lubec. The views of the cove are stunning, and was amazing to watch the massive tide make the water empty like pulling the drain plug, right from the huge deck. The house was cozy and clean and the owner/caretakers were great and responded to all inquires. We fully plan on coming back!

Worth the drive
The property is absolutely beautiful! The views are stunning! Although, as mentioned in a review from August, the cabin does need a good cleaning. There were cobwebs here and there, not too bad, by itself, however dead bugs, mostly flies were everywhere. Going up the stairs to master bathroom, on stove, kitchen counters...etc. After a 13-14 hour drive a hot bath was needed, when I pulled back shower curtain...3 dead flies in tub. The ceiling light covers are filled with mostly dead bugs, but you can see the random one that is still buzzing around. One night I started the bath and while letting tub fill I was getting myself together to get in, turned around and 2 dying flies were floating in the water. Fan above stove was very greasy and covered with dead bugs. I don't know if it's a regional thing, a property location thing or a housekeeping issue for all the bugs. Other than the bugs, everything was very comfortable and we enjoyed our stay! Our fault was picking November during a pandemic....most local eateries and shopping was closed and we couldn't get into Canada to see more lighthouses, however, beauty was still everywhere!

Beautiful Secluded Cabin on the Water
Pros: This cabin is beautiful and the location could not be better. The cabin is set down a long, gated driveway with no other houses visible from the property. It sits on a hill overlooking a secluded bay/inlet. There are a fire pit and wooden bench swing near the beach. The cabin has a beautiful screened porch and other small areas of deck, not shown in the pictures, aside from the main deck facing the water. The inside of the cabin is also beautiful, with a wall of windows in the living/dining/kitchen area; cathedral style ceiling. The master bedroom on the first floor is very large and the Tuft and Needle mattress is so incredibly comfortable....you want to sleep in this bed. There are 2 full baths with beautiful cabinets and countertops, one in the master and one upstairs. There is a half bath/laundry room combo off the main living area. There is a loft area upstairs, with a futon and bookcase, facing the wall of windows. There is a closet in the foyer stocked with board games.. There is plenty of storage space in each bedroom, bathroom and kitchen. The caretaker, Carson, was very helpful with the one quick question we had. There are plenty of towels, dishes, extra blankets/pillows and cleaning supplies; but you will want to bring tinfoil, saran wrap or Tupperware if you plan to store any leftovers, ice cube trays and cooking oil/spray. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely return!! Cons: The corners of the cathedral ceiling and the top row of windows, understandably difficult to reach, have gathered a lot of dark and thick cobwebs which are quite visible from the living room and loft area. There were also dozens of live house flies lurking in the upstairs bedrooms and in the windows of the main living area when we arrived. Otherwise, the home really looks clean and smells fresh/clean. We would stay here again!

Pure relaxation
Beautiful and well maintained cabin with plenty of room inside and out. We had a wonderful week of relaxation and exploring the area, with many trails and Quoddy Head within mere miles. The view from the deck is better than described. Our dog loved running the beach at low tide and exploring the rest of the property when the water was up. It was very hard to leave and we will definitely return one day. We did have to contact the caretaker upon arrival as there was a little confusion regarding the alarm and as indicated, he was readily available for any questions/concerns. Thank you so much for this wonderful place to get away from it all!

EISLEY rental
Moldy objects in closet, dryer needs on off knob, missing fry pans found in garage, missing propane tank for grill, need of general maintenance, fireplace smoked. Those said, we loved the location and would rent again

A great location but CLEAN THE HOUSE!
This is a beautiful spot and a good property but the owner has not had this place professionally cleaned in a long time. It was so dirty that we had to clean off cobwebs (Addams family style) from the chandelier before eating at the DR table. Every pan was filthy and had to be scrubbed before using. The downstairs master bath shower was dirty and the water valve on the shower was backwards. The deck is peeling away under your feet. Why let a property like this deteriorate from neglect?

Peace, nature & tides
Our stay was amazing. It was beautiful, healing and FUN! The kids had a blast - paddling in the bay and biking on numerous well maintained nearby trails. The hiking in the area was simply fantastic - the beauty of the forest laced with coastal views. The cabin offered spacious, comfort and broad deck. We had all we needed in the kitchen. The views are so beautiful. Ravens, Bald eagles, hummingbirds, deer, seals - we saw it all. Fresh clams from the mudflats and blackberries from the path. The view changes minute to minute. Simply breathe-taking - from spectacular sunsets to mystical foggy mornings. Great nights star watching from the swing by the waterside fire pit. We plan on returning over and over again. It was exactly what all we needed.
