"Fantastic house in a great location. Loved our stay. Hubby was lucky to see lots of birds (he’s interested), I heard a Corncrake (I’m not interested lol & he missed it). We ate loads of lovely local seafood - scallops from the Wee Cottage Kitchen, crab claws & prawns from Lochmaddy Bay Prawns & lobster from vending machine at The Dunes Larder. The eggs from the vending machine were fantastic along with the Stornaway black pudding. Flat white from the self service machine in the larder was also good. Great base for exploring - we went to Berneray a couple of times and also down to Eriskay with many stops on the way. Little supermarket at Bayhead was great for some grocery items & fuel. Coop at Sollas also very good. Food at Westford Inn was great, we were lucky to squeeze in an online booking as they were busy. So much to do & see, hopefully we’ll be back."
