Excellent appartement, ideal for a ski holiday in the French Alps

We had a fantastic time during our stay in Mme Barber's apartment. The appartement is spacious and clean, beautifully decorated in a traditional Haute Savoian style has all the facilities we needed to ensure we had a home from home experience. There is a good size induction hob cooker with oven and a spacious fridge freezer. The beds were confortable and good storage space for our clothes and ski gear. There is also a heated ski and boots locker outside the appartement. The garden at the back of the challet is a welcomed bonus, as we had a small picninc and admired the beautiful mountains and the snow falling. The location of the appartement is ideal for the access to Les Contamines Montjoie ski gondola, is a 5 mins walk in the ski boots. The local shops and the skimium ski rental place is also very close around 8 mins walk. We absolutely loved the heated swimming pool which was a welcome refuge to swim and relax after a busy day skiing. The generous garage space was also a fantastic and very welcomed bonus as we are travelling by car from UK and prefer to park the car in a locked garage. The skie resort in Les Contamine is so charming and beautiful, very well kept secret by the local and French skiers, the slopes and ski lifts are not crouded at all, even in the peak season as people prefer to ski in the nearby resorts of Chamonix, St Gervais or

Excellent séjour au hameau du Lay

Appartement trÚs bien situé proche du télécabine permettant de rejoindre le domaine skiable des Contamines. L'appartement est bien agencé avec une trÚs belle vue sur une riviÚre et sur la verdure. La piscine intérieure de la résidence est trÚs agréable au retour du ski : c'est un vrai plus. Expérience à renouveler sans hésiter.

L'appartement est bien situĂ©, la piscine est un plus, peut-ĂȘtre faudrait-il ajouter des couverts (assiettes, fourchettes, couteaux, et petites cuillĂšres dans le tiroir de la table permettant de faire tourner le lave vaisselle moins souvent et Ă©conomiser de l'eau.... Mais sinon nous sommes prĂȘts Ă  revenir l'an prochain !!!

Superbe séjour

Séjour trÚs agréable dans un trÚs bel environnement. Nous avons apprécié tout le confort de l'appartement, plus particuliÚrement d'avoir une vraie chambre, un séjour spatieux et une terrasse avec jardin. L'équipement était trÚs suffisant, le parking tout proche et la météo nous a été trÚs favorable, neige fraßche et soleil. Le gardien de la résidence est trÚs serviable et accueillant. On reviendra avec plaisir.

Bon accueil bon emplacement mais...

Je n’ai rien Ă  redire sur la qualitĂ© de l’accueil, ni sur l’emplacement qui sont parfaits. Le gardien est vraiment fantastique. Il est toujours prĂ©sent est trĂšs avenant. L’appartement est situĂ© dans un coin trĂšs calme Ă  environ 1 km des commerces. Il est trĂšs propre. on sent que le propriĂ©taire a vraiment envie de recevoir correctement ses hĂŽtes. Par contre, certains points nous ont contrariĂ©s. D’une part, l’annonce mettait en avant une piscine couverte chauffĂ©e et le propriĂ©taire l’avait mentionnĂ© dans le texte de description. ArrivĂ©e sur place, on a constatĂ© que la piscine Ă©tait fermĂ©e... grosse dĂ©ception des enfants. On aurait apprĂ©ciĂ© d’ĂȘtre informĂ© Ă  l’avance. D’autre part, l’appartement est hors norme au niveau de l’électricitĂ©. Notamment, j’ai constatĂ© une prise de courant directement sous l’égouttoir de cuisine ! Des spots sont fixĂ©s sur les lits de la chambre au niveau de la tĂȘte. Des multi prises courent un peu partout dans la maison. Ce n’est pas trĂšs rassurant. Enfin, il s’agit d’un appartement des annĂ©es 70 qui apparemment a Ă©tĂ© trĂšs peu rĂ©novĂ©. J’ai constatĂ© des odeurs parfois un petit peu dĂ©sagrĂ©able dĂ» au vĂ©cu (Rideau de douche ou canapĂ© qui sentent la sueur). Cet appartement mĂ©riterait un bon rafraĂźchissement. VoilĂ , j’essaie d’ĂȘtre le plus objectif possible.

Proche des pistes , dans un endroit calme et donnant sur un joli ruisseau, cet appartement est relativement spacieux pour 4 personnes et trĂšs bien Ă©quipĂ©. Cosy cabin-like apartment, easy access to lifts and very helpful mandataire

The mandataire met us at the door & showed us everything( including the ski lifts 2 mins walk away). With Under cover parking, the apt had everything we needed for our week. We really relaxed and very much want to return here again.

Un super séjour

Une résidence trÚs sympathique, un appartement parfaitement bien équipé, nous venons de passer d'excellentes vacances aux Contamines Montjoie. Un emplacement idéal car au rez-de-chaussé et ce petit torrent qui coule non loin est charmant. Nous y retournerons avec plaisir car nous n'avons pas eu le temps de faire toutes les randonnées proposées.

Semaine au ski idéale

appartement idéalement situé. on laisse la voiture dans le parking couvert et la semaine se fait à pied: 5 minutes des télécabines et de la piste de luge, 15 minutes du centre village. la cuisine est vraiment bien équipée ( appareil à raclette, nombreux plats allant au four etc...) la semaine à 4 ( dont deux enfants de 4 et 7 ans ) s'est passée au top!

Appartement spacieux et trĂšs bien situĂ© dans une rĂ©sidence calme. A la fois proche de la tĂ©lĂ©cabine du Lay pour le ski alpin, du parc nordique et des boutiques du hameau du Lay. L'appartement est grand, la piscine est un plus agrĂ©able et la terrasse doit ĂȘtre sympa en Ă©tĂ© avec la riviĂšre qui coule Ă  cĂŽtĂ© et qui donne un aspect bucolique inhabituel en station. Parking couvert apprĂ©ciable aussi en hiver. L'arrivĂ©e/dĂ©part se fait sans problĂšme grĂące au gardien de la rĂ©sidence. En rĂ©sumĂ© un trĂšs bon rapport espace, service, emplacement/prix.

Excellent facilities, beautiful location!

We have had an excellent holiday in this beautiful apartment. Situated within a walking distance to the ski gondola and the shops, the apartment is in a perfect location. The swimming pool was a big bonus especially for our daughter who loves swimming as well as skiing. We have really appreciated the enclosed garage and the heated ski room too. All in all an amazing ski holiday in a perfect location. We loved it so much that we will definitely go back.
