Practically all restaurants were closed on the holiday/COVID. Not much to do in the surrounding area.
We were just staying overnight- Las Vegas NM was not our destination
Small college town with lots of family owned restaurants.
A poor town, but the residents give it a very nice feel. We struck up conversations wherever we went and the people where delightful.
Very friendly small town atmosphere.
