Aldi, Lidl and many other stores close by. Airport 10 minutes away. Ignore previous comments regarding dogs barking. We stayed 3 weeks and this was never an issue. Before leaving we didn’t hesitate to book for next winter"

"A great place to stay with a great host. The apartment is just a few miles from the coast and so it was a few degrees cooler and therefore much more pleasant than down on the main resorts. It also has amazing views of the coast. The apartment was clean, spacious and well-equipped. We enjoyed using the gardens around the apartment and the good sized swimming pool. "If you're looking for a place to recharge your batteries this is it. Took a bit of finding (keep going to end of the road when you turn onto Camino del Chamizo) and the roads are very steep, but was worth the effort. The house is well equipped and spacious. The views from the outside area are spectacular. Would definitely recommend a stay here and we will hopefully be back."

"the villa was part of a small complex on a Banana plantation and had been converted to a high standard with generous rooms, double beds, good showers, kitchen etc. The outdoors area was well set out with plenty of private room and a small plunge pool for when the temperature soars. The complex is a drive away from anywhere and there is no wandering to the nearest shops or beach - you will need to get in your car for everythng. The other thing to note is that this is a working banana plantation...

"We loved the place and it was just what we were looking for. Don't let the steep hill towards it put you off, as it gives you the most amazing views. Away from the crowds, but close enough to local villages and walking routes. Johannes from the agency was also very helpful."

"A wonderfully characterful place to stay , charmingly decorated with stunning views over to La Gomera. It's on a peaceful banana plantation and a short walk to the sea where there are tidal pools and beaches for swimming. The nearby (unspoilt) town of Alcalá is a pleasant 15 minute walk along the coast. A perfect place to unwind. The hosts provide you with free bananas, papaya and even shared organic vegetables from their garden."

"We spent 2 wonderful weeks at La Bodega over the New Year. The cottages are located in the pretty and friendly village of St. Miguel, an ideal base for excursions in all directions of the island. They are equipped with all the necessities, nothing is missing. The location, with pool and garden, is fantastic. The spacious arrangement of the 4 cottages offers plenty of privacy. The friendly hosts Sheila and Ray are always available and have a very good sense of when a short and nice conversation...

"Although located a 20-30 minute walk to the beach the room and balcony are large and the apartment had great views of the ocean. Centre of Playa de las Americas only a 20-minute drive away. Would stay again."
