"Nous sommes 4 amis (2 femmes, 2 hommes) et nous voulions visiter de petits villages du Perche et de la région de l'Aigle. Le charmant petit village de la Gonfrière offrait une situation idéale. L'ancien presbytère comporte au moins quatre chambres individuelles et de nombreuses toilettes. "It is such a lovely little gite. We really enjoyed our stay here. Unfortunately we didn't get to meet the owner as we had a text from her to say she didn't meet us as she couldn't speak English so any queries would be better sent to poplidays. It is an ancient old watermill and the mill race is still there so the sound of running water was an enjoyable extra. Whilst the gite was great the description of the facilities on the website is inaccurate. There is parking in front of the gite, ...

"The hotel is simple and quiet. I appreciated the staff flexibility and kindness when I asked for assistance. I stayed in one of their renovated room ( which I recommend as the hotel is a little bit dated). The room had all the basics you need: modern TV, shampoo and soap in the shower, towels, storage space etc.). Breakfast (Buffet style) was very good with many choices. The location of the hotel is very central and convenient. I recommend this hotel for business or a layover (not a vacation)."

"Perfectly situated for a mid holiday stop over. Reception were excellent no fuss getting checked in. Rooms adequate if not modernised but perfect for a family and all you need. Location is near a massive retail park 3 m ins drive where you can get some food in the evening hours. Breakfast was also spot on. Recommend a stay if passing."

"The hotel was quiet and the room was very comfortable with air conditioning. The evening meal was excellent and very good value. It was nice to be able to eat outside under a pergola. Breakfast was also very good with everything necessary. The staff were friendly and helpful."

"The house is magnificent. Jerome made us feel like it was our home and nothing was too much trouble.the grounds, house and lake are exceptional. Our hope is to return next year as 3 generations had a wonderful time. Thank you so much for a wonderful holiday. "
