Brilliant!!!
We had a wonderful week at Cochmans Cottage. The cottage is much more spacious than the impression given by the photographs. The property was immaculate when we arrived. Evelyn was a really friendly host when we met her but she was not at all intrusive, If you are looking for an away from it all property set in a stunning location this property is bad to beat.

A pleasant stay in a well situated, characterful cottage
Property is in a very peaceful, rural location close to the Solway coast. It is well appointed and retains some interesting original features. Nearby town of Kirkcudbright has good shops, historic attractions and restaurants. We would have no hesitation in recommending this property to anyone considering visiting this delightful corner of Scotland.

All-round excellence
Clean, airy and with all facilities, the cottage is located in a superb isolated setting. We have stayed in many cottages in Scotland over the last 35 years and this was the best, by some distance.

Stunning cottage and location
Staying at Coachmans cottage was nothing more than stunning. The house itself caters for all needs. It’s spacious and cosy and in a lovely rural quiet location. Located close to beaches and covers it makes the ideal stay for adventure. We loved just driving round seeing what was round the next corner. Kirkcudbright is a lovely town, people are friendly. It’s just been fabulous

A good week
Rural and secluded, plenty of walks within reach, also a good beach. Well equipped, though it obviously favours ready meals rather than real cookery! Nice atmosphere, though the wildlife was disappointing. Plenty of interest in the surrounding area.

A very pleasant place to stay. Very rural but only 5 minutes drive from the coast and 10 minutes from lovely Kirkcudbright town and it’s rich artistic traditions.
