"I booked this after seeing there’s only one albergue in Gernika and feeling unsure it would be open. You enter the hotel through the reception bar, the bartender gave me the keys. The room was modest but clean, although the mattress and duvet could’ve used another sheet each as they were well worn. Slightly squeaky bed, decent shower pressure. All in all, not worth the 40 euros but I had little choice."

The balcony with an ocean view was a wonderful place to pass the time when we weren’t exploring the area.
