An idyllic setting with cozy furnishings and barrier-free views of the fjord.
This particularly bright and cozy interior invites you and your companion to relax, as here you can make yourself comfortable in the antique-style furniture, invest your time in a novel, sit together in front of the fireplace with a glass of wine while enjoying the unobstructed view of the fjord. The covered terrace is the best place to have breakfast or a barbecue, and bathe in the sun on the open plot.
In the old, charming Kulhuse there is a harbor and a child-friendly sandy beach, good stores and the large Nordskov within reach. Also visit the Kulhuse Kro inn while enjoying the view of the water. There is a ferry connection to Sølager, on the other side of the fjord, and cars and bicycles can also be transported by ferry. Hundested is also a popular destination for arts and crafts, including glassblowing and workshops and a traditional brewery. In the harbor you will also see the remains of the Englænderskansen defensive fortification built against the English in 1808, which was used to protect the cannon factory in Frederiksværk. In Nordskov you will find the oldest oak trees (600, 800 and 1500 years old) in Denmark and also in Europe, where there are also marked hiking trails to cross the beautiful nature. In Jægerspris you can visit the old castle and treat yourself to an ice cream from Poulsens Isbod, which has been selling ice cream since 1913, the mill of Jægerspris and which is still in operation.
