Disappointment - First bad VRBO stay
Internet/Streaming/TV - Service to the house was inactive the entirety of our stay. Contacted the owner on the first day, Was told that a storm likely had interrupted the service. Next day no change, owner was going to contact the service provider. Next correspondence from owner was gibberish, something about needing to contact service provider to bring a new modem to the house. Never received any further communication.
Beds – Kings size beds were actually two small beds shoved together with a ridge from the smaller bed frames running down the middle. of the bed. Very uncomfortable.
Pool – Temperature of the pool was 94 degrees according to our smart watches. Discovered that the houses solar pool heater was left on and was set to maintain a temperature of 95 degrees. I contacted the owner, no response.
House Cleanliness – Cob webs all over the light above the dining room table and dirt hanging from the AC filter cover.
AC – AC is in need of repair or replacement. Temperature of house would not fall below 78 degrees Note next to temp control warned of the unit “freezing up” further indicating past trouble with the AC unit.
Outside Fans and AC Receptacles – Only one of the Two outside fans worked. The light flashed on and off The AC receptacles would work intermittently.
Oven and Grill – The outside grill needed to be disposed of. The oven would not maintain temperature.
-Messaged the owner to request a reduction in our total cost due to all the above issues. No Response-
