"Easy check in (there isn't a front desk per-se, there's a phone in the front hallway and you just dial up the proprietor to let them know you arrived). Very clean rooms and common areas. There is an option breakfast available (for a fee), but they also have a full kitchen and allow guests to bring, store, and prepare their own food."

"A fantastic, quiet location not far off the busy tourist route, but a world away from the speed and hassle of the Seljalandsa. We enjoyed a very comfortable bed, a great view and tasty breakfast. It was a real bonus to be able to visit and interact with the horses and their trainers. "

"Lovely and cozy stay. The cabin has everything you need to relax. Enjoyed walking around and seeing the horses and property. There was also a kitty whom was just the sweetest!! A great place to relax and unwind. Please note there are no TV’s in the cabin(GOOD!) and the horses don’t directly come to your door but only 20ft behind an electric fence. If I had but a minor criticism it’s check-in. I felt silly that I walked up to Mr.Iceland’s house but he was out…maybe have a small sign to advise to check the email? (Did that afterwards) I had another guest ask me about check-in while I was walking around the farm. Still, overall highly recommend!"

"Our stay at Jakob’s Old Farmhouse was truly unforgettable. What they’ve done with the old farmhouse is absolutely stunning—the blend of rustic charm and modern comfort created such a cozy, welcoming atmosphere. Every detail felt thoughtful and authentic, and it was clear a lot of care went into preserving the farmhouse’s character. One of the highlights was being able to interact with the horses on the property. It added such a peaceful, magical touch to the experience and made us feel even more connected to the beautiful Icelandic countryside. We only wish we could’ve stayed longer! Next time, we’ll definitely plan for an extended visit. Highly recommend this unique and charming stay to anyone looking for a memorable experience off the beaten path."
