"It's a beautiful place, with superb views to the mountain. People are very kind and helpful. However, I'll mention things that may be important for some travelers. For example, yes, it has a two spaces parking lot, but take into accont that you have to leave it there and then go though the adjacent asending street to get the main entrance. It's not s long ascentiin, but you have to be sure you didn't leave anything in the car, because once in the entrance you still have to go upstair to the rooms. Another issue that might be inconvenient is the free breakfast, as it is just some fruits, cheese, yogurth and cereals, the same every day, self service, not many utensils, plates, etc., and the worst for me, coffee or cocoa, milk aswell, where instant to be blended with horñt.water. Ah, water might be another concern, altough we were told it was safe to have water from the faucet, many Tilcala information sites stated it was not safe, and at Llama Negra there was no.way to have a glass of fresh water, just hot water. In conclusion, it is a beautiful place, but check your expectations because if you want a place with more amenities and service I bet I you can get it in Tilcala at a similar or even quite lower price than what Llama Negra charges"

"What an amazing hotel! Nestled in a quiet neighborhood in Tilcara, we arrived after dark and were greeted by a lovely gal who went overboard to make our check-in experience wonderful. She as well recommended an amazing restaurant for dinner and pointed out some key things on the area to see. Or room was quite comfortable and spacious, and breakfast the next morning at the hotel was a really nice, simple buffet (and they also would cook up eggs for you if custom), and had an amazing view of the surrounding mountains. We were only there one night but wish we had stayed longer and hope to visit again some day!"

Great location with easy parking and short walk to restaurants, etc. Tilcarra is a great village to base yourself in from which to explore the surrounding region. Great hikes in the area. We stayed 3 nights and thoroughly enjoyed our experience."

"This place is a diamond in the rough. A lovely quiet reprieve from the business and dusty streets. We loved Tilcara for its history, food, authentic nature. It was so nice to be able to walk to the nearby square to eat and explore and feel safe. Large rooms, comfy beds, great staff, lovely breakfasts. Would highly recommend. The many stairs only added to the charm and the view. "

The property is in the heart of Tilcara and so a short walk to everything you could need. Breakfast is fresh every day and sets you up for the day. The rooms are small but perfect with everything you could need. "
