"The size and location was perfect for our family. We needed a large place for family to stay for my son‘s wedding. The master bedroom on the main floor was perfect for my mother-in-law who cannot do stairs. I would highly recommend the space for family gatherings."

"Convenient to my organized bicycling tour end 4/26 at Hampton Inn Elizabeth City (other hotels in the area were fully booked). Noisy — only 40 meters away from busy hwy US-17 and a high-pitched sound that seems to come from the room’s fridge/freezer; Bring earplugs. Pros: efficient fridge/freezer; business-like staff; clean (except for some stray pet hair). Cons: no security latch on door; in my room 112, unrepaired damage from previous guests — missing shower head (unpleasant to use, to say the least, and Wasteful of water); dented inside bathroom door, dented outside door with keycard-operated lock looking like it’s not biting into solid wood. No desk lamp; chair is not suitable for the desk (no casters). I’d stay here again if no other hotel had rooms available."

"We loved the cottage and our stay! The view was amazing! We went into Outer banks 2 times and the near by refuge as well. It’s definitely a rural property so shops and restaurants were a bit of a drive but we had everything we need to cook and grill. The kitchen was stocked with everything you would need. Johanna and Trip were quick to communicate with us and help answer questions. Our kiddos did not want to leave at the end of the stay! "
