This is a lovely guesthouse in a beautiful farm setting. We enjoyed seeing all the lambs with their mamas coming in. We had a spacious room and ours came with a private bath, which is a rarity in Iceland. The staff were kind and helpful and the breakfast was really good: different breads, cheeses, fruit, cold cuts, etc.

The guesthouse is down a long gravel road/driveway. Our rental car handled it well. We had a room on the first floor and it was a little loud because the dining room was just a few feet from our door. Our room was clean. The breakfast was great: cheeses, jams, fresh breads, cut fruit, hard boiled eggs. We would stay again!

Off the beaten track but worth the effort

Upon arrival we were greeted by friendly and welcoming staff who gave us a quick introduction to the property and our accommodation. Our cabin was separate and independent from others or the main building which was nice. It felt like our little home for the night. Great vistas over the vast and stunning surrounding countryside from our porch. The accommodation was simple but good however there was no shower gel, shampoo, or washcloths in our bathroom, which is otherwise experienced as standard in Iceland. There were significant winds and driving hail overnight but our cabin felt very solid and secure. Breakfast was varied and quite good, with really nice fresh baked bread to start the day.

Great experience overall. Very friendly staff, warm and comfy room, clean bathroom, breakfast was very good as well. We also had a dinner - big and delicious meals (lamb was perfect)
