"I checked in quite late but host was very helpful. The motel is quite old but well kept and clean. It was a cold night but room had heating and was very cosy. Plenty hot water. Barstow has seen better days but this motel is a great price and I felt safe and comfortable staying here. "

"We stayed at the California Inn in Barstow, and honestly, it exceeded all expectations. Clean, quiet, and safe—which is all I really wanted—but it gave even more. The room was spacious, the bed was super comfortable, and the AC worked really well (a must in the desert heat). The staff was kind, check-in was easy, and it felt like they actually cared. You can tell they take pride in running a good place. It’s not fancy or flashy—it’s grounded, welcoming, and real. I travel a lot, and this is one of those rare spots that makes you feel settled, even if you're just passing through. Will definitely stay here again."
