"I don’t normally write reviews but was pretty happy with this spot. Stayed here for a few days with my husband and our 2 little kids. Location was excellent especially with kids, easily walkable to the harbour front where we spent all of our time. Very clean so we immediately felt comfortable, and loved the bedroom space as well as living room space to hang out. Also, 5 min walk to the grocery store and a spot to grab wine / beer. "Great spot to relax. Lots of space, and comfortable bed and bedding. Kitchen was quite functional once I got use to how everything worked, but my only complaint was that the pots and pans had a bit of dust particles on them. Great parks nearby, and many options to walk a dog. Very quiet street with little traffic. Didn't affect us, but warning —one can hear everything in the main house above, so assume they can hear you. Would definitely stay again. Neighbourhood is wonderful "

"Not your average rental! St. Cecilia exceeded expectations in all areas. Incredible property with amazing story. Typically meeting the owners has not been a priority but definitely reach out to Brett and Lara for the history of the church, its renovation and the story behind many of the pieces adorning the property. "The place we stayed was a little bit away from the convenience. It was too far for walking since bus stop was distantly away. Fortunately we got rides and didn't need bus transportation. Overall the place met our satisfaction since it was in a quiet area and we only stayed for few hours for sleeping each day. "

"We loved our 1 week retreat! It was just perfect!"

"Great location. This is actually a 4 bdrm place 2 bathrooms. Which is great. Floors were not the cleanest, windowsills, blinds. No written or online instructions present on arrival except internet access. Pre sent check in instructions were confusing and gave 2 different codes both stating that there was a key box. No key. Just door code. But owners were very responsive which was great. "

"Friendly staff and easy check in experience. Building is older but very clean with some upgrades in each room-new floors, sink and fixtures. Regardless of the hotels age the hotel is clean! If you have a car this hotel will be convenient. Hotels across the bridge in Halifax were over double in price. Happy that we found this hotel for a great price. Atlantic Superstore across the road (walking distance), gas station close by, entrance to highway close by, local restaurants within a 5 minute drive. There is a local cafe within a 5 minute walk on the water that services a great breakfast. "
