Nestled on the banks of Hayden Lake, Lakewood Cottage is the charming waterfront escape you've been looking for. Offering privacy, lake access, and a large deck, this home is perfect for a quiet family getaway.

The first thing you'll notice as you walk down to the home is the deck. Whether you're dining alfresco around the picnic table, cooking steaks on the grill, or watching the kids run around, you'll enjoy beautiful lake views and brand-new stairs leading down to the water and private dock. Known for its quiet waters, this part of Hayden Lake is great for swimming and water toys, so bring your paddleboards and kayaks and soak up the sun!

When you're ready to cozy up inside, you'll find classic cabin style in this comfortable space. A table for four sits beside an electric fireplace for easy comfort and additional heating. Watch your favorite movies on the mounted flat screen while you cozy up on the leather couch or one of two rocking chairs. You'll find the bright kitchen just around the corner. Well-stocked, this space has everything you need for cooking and clean-up while giving you the view of a lifetime. The lake is so close you’ll feel like you’re right on the water even while still indoors!

Follow the hallway to find the main-floor bedroom with twin bunk beds, plenty of closet space, and fun cabin décor. Across the hall, the first bathroom hides behind a sliding pocket door and has a standing shower and lots of natural light.

Ascend the stairs to find the primary bedroom on the top floor. Boasting a king bed, oak furniture for storage and seating, lake views, and an ensuite bathroom, this space is a serene getaway after a long day on the lake. This bathroom is equipped with a standing shower, laundry facilities and a walk-in closet.

When you're ready to explore, take a scenic drive around the 40 miles of lakeshore, weaving through dense pine forests and summer homes, both historic and modern. The east side of Hayden Lake is bordered by majestic mountains rising as high as 6,000 feet. Travel over to Honeysuckle Beach and boat launch on the south side of the lake, or enjoy a round of golf at Avondale golf course. Hayden is also home to Triple Play Family Fun Park—great for golf, bowling, go-karts, mini-golf, and arcade games—Raptor Reef Indoor Water Park, the Bird Aviation Museum, and of course is a short drive to Silverwood Theme Park.

Perfect for a week of fishing.
Perfect for a week of fishing. Did a last-minute weeklong stay at the cabin. Wanted to have a place to keep my boat in the water and access to the East End of the lake. Cabin was very comfortable and clean, the property is a little bit older but has been updated and is very comfortable. Thank you for the easy check-in and consistent communication.

Fantastic little cabin on the lake
My brother and I wanted a quiet place on the lake nestled in the woods/mountains and this place was a great fit. The deck overlooking the lake is as good as the pictures look on the listing. The cabin is cozy and comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped — it even had spices. We used the grill multiple times. Know that the place is a good 25 minutes from any kind of store (which was great for us). Communication was quick and responsive. The only negative is that the dock down on the water (not the deck by the house) was covered in goose poop for some reason. (None of the neighbors’ were). I reached out and asked for it to be cleaned and got some pushback but eventually they did come out. It made fishing off the dock a little dicey. But otherwise a great place.

Great time in the cabin. All as described right on the lake. Good swimming and floating right off the dock. House has everything you need for your stay. Yes this is few minutes from CDA but that adds to the charm and peaceful environment.

Little slice of heaven
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hayden Lake & wish we could’ve stayed longer! Even the kids weren’t ready to leave. The house was clean & had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. The washer is out of commission due to a part that isn’t currently available. Not a big deal - glad I asked ahead of time so we packed accordingly. We absolutely loved being on the lake! The road in is very curvy & is about 20 min from town (just fyi). The houses are a bit close together, so I do agree with a prior review - the upstairs bathroom could use a curtain, haha. The kids complained that the wifi was weak, but my husband & I thought that was a benefit. We brought our inflatable paddle boards & kayak. This part of the bay was perfect for that because there is a sandbar nearby, so not too much boat traffic & a no wake zone. We hope to stay here again in the future. Thank you so much for sharing your little slice of heaven with us! It’s so beautiful!

Perfect family retreat
Highly recommend for a family get away. This property was just as described. It has everything you could possibly need including most kitchen tools, some spices, coffee filters, etc. You will be all set as long as you bring groceries or stop at one of the many stores along Hwy 95. We enjoyed floating over to the sandbar and daily walks/runs along the main road. The deck is huge and is in great condition with stairs down to the dock which was great for swimming. The water has a shallow approach which is great for smaller kids. The water was clear and warm. The neighbors to the right were friendly and we never saw anyone to the left. Everything was in working order and we had no issues with the stove or having no privacy in the upstairs bathroom. When you step out of the shower the door covers the window plus you can step into the closet to change. I would definitely rent this place again.

Beautiful lake location
The lakefront setting and spacious deck are the best part of this property. We were pleasantly surprised that the house stayed cool even without air conditioning. The kitchen is small but adequate. We used the outdoor bbq grill instead of the oven. The driveway is steep and fitting 3 cars is a bit of a challenge but doable. We loved having the nice size picnic table on the deck and used it to eat all of our meals. The upstairs bathroom has a large window next to the toilet and shower with no window covering. I would suggest some blinds for that window since anyone sitting on the deck or the neighbor's dock can see in. We had a lovely time and would stay here again.

Beautiful view in remote location
Until you have the address, you don’t know this is a half hour from town due to the drive around the lake. View and deck are wonderful. The appliances are not what you would expect when renting a house; oven doesn’t hold temp. and we were unable to use the washing machine due to an issue management didn’t mention ahead of time.
