Meteorite impact site from 207 million years ago. One of the 15 largest meteorites to ever hit the Earth. Although the meteorite itself was dissolved on impact, these impactites were made when the local rocks were super-heated. Visit the nearby château (which is now an art museum) and the meteorite history walk. There is also a small meteorite museum in town that is well worth a look.

The house was brilliantly equipped and we were able to enjoy doing lots of cooking. The pool and outdoor area were so great that we didn’t want to leave the house much and spent most of the stay having pool days and playing games in the grounds. We will be back!"
