This was a wonderful hotel and the staff is absolutely amazing. we originally booked at another place which was closed for renovation. this made us very skeptical. But it turned out wonderful.

Under construction
Upon arrival to Vietnam, we were informed this hotel was under construction and we were transferred to a sister property. Not as nice, no spa.

Friendly front desk reception. Breakfast area a bit over crowded at times with lots of people. The rooms are not very sound proof - we had noisy people on either side of our room and had to be moved. The hotel did not hesitate to move us and were understanding. Overall I would classify this hotel as average, clean and comfortable but too noisy for my liking.

Beware
We booked 3 rooms for 4 people (1 double, 2single), but whole we paid for it, they didn't have the room. They don't really care about their customers so the only thing they agreed on was to add a rollaway bed making the room even more crowded. Would absolutely not recommend them as you might not get what you paid for.

Worth it for the restaurant.
At first glance I thought the room a bit dingy. But it warmed on me. It really is a good hotel and very centrally-located. The restaurant on the top floor is run by young people but has a varied menu of well-cooked food and excellent views over the rooftops of Hanoi. I watched the New Year fireworks from the rooftop. The breakfast was reasonable. The only downside was a loose fitting shower pipe.

Good value in the Hanoi Old Quarter
I stayed in a "KIng Suite" room. Very large, comfortable room with a big balcony. The room was modern & spotlessly clean. Hotel staff were very friendly b& helpful

Excellent hotel and service. Great value.
Spent two nights here and was sufficiently pleased. Staff (particularly Jang) were very helpful and accommodating. Jang arranged our Halong Bay tour with ease and without pressure. I would recommend the window room for the small premium. It is larger and more pleasant.

Extremely accommodating and dedicated staff
I got a 'connecting room' which was basically 2 rooms joined by a partion. It was functional, clean, and safe enough for my wife and two small kids. My only advice is to get the rooms away from the railway tracks as my window faced the tracks and I had trains horning at 6am. Other than that, the hotel is well run and the staff were clearly proud of their establishment. They readily offered advice on anything you asked for. The breakfast was very decent too, nothing one can complain about. The location of the hotel is at the fringe of the old quarters - which is a plus to me because I wanted to be close to the hustle & bustle but live smack in the middle of it. Having a police post next to the hotel also gives it a air of security. In summary, it's an excellent choice for a mid-range budget stay; you won't live in the lap of luxury but you're assured of a safe and comfortable Hanoi experience.

Great hotel
The location was great as Hanoi was so busy and noisy and it was nice to get away from the all the mahem and only a 6 minute walk to get some great good! Our first room was very humid as it had no windows we asked the hotel and they moved us to Block B which was a lot better and bigger rooms and a window!

Overall pleasant experience
The overall hotel experience was pleasant. The walls are pretty thin so we can hear EVERYTHING from the other rooms. Breakfast was just okay. Restaurant is too small and was not able to cope with the crowd when we were there. The female receptionists were very helpful but it was hard to communicate with the night staff.

Boutique Hotel in Hanoi
If the review was all about first impressions then this hotel would fall short on a few counts - arranged hotel pickup, the flight was slightly delayed and so when I arrived there was no driver. Interestingly all the other passengers with arranged pickup were met by the drivers of other hotels. I had to call the hotel twice and spend an extra hour waiting in the airport as a result. Arrived hotel and checked in, shown to a room which was nice but not the suite which I had booked. Shortly after hotel realised mistake and came to show me to the correct room. The room itself is beautiful, mine was a suite with balcony, spacious, comfortable, rose petals on the bed, nice bathroom facilities and some fresh fruit laid out. Later I went to ask reception about sightseeing tours to Halong Bay and Hanoi and was pointed to an empty desk, so couldn't book any for the next day (this turned out to be the best because the weather was not nice but on the following day when I did go to Halong Bay the weather was much improved). The second day I explored Hanoi by myself. I came back and there was no longer any toilet paper (there had been plenty when I left the room)... well the small things sometimes add up...obviously the hotel has room to improve on its service.. So this aside the hotel itself in terms of the quality of room is very good and were it not for the service issues I would rate it higher. The breakfast had plenty of options. Location is kind of hidden in a back street but ok.

Exceptional customer service - 5 star service
So I booked this hotel after reading some reviews. One thing I would like to say is the staff perform beyond expectations to make you feel like a valuable guest. They know your name, they attempt to arrange taxis if you need, their travel booking office makes suggestions as to what are good tours (and reputable companies only), etc. In addition, you are welcomed with complimentary water, coffee, tea, and snacks.

Very Outdated, Poor Breakfast Service
The hotel is only 2 years old, but it's aging quickly. The rooms are nicely designed but receive no maintenance: the rain shower leaks everywhere, fixtures are missing, the water boiler had a thick layer of scum inside of. I was not able to adjust the aircon. Bed was comfortable though. Breakfast ran from 7-10 am, by 09:25 the buffet was empty and I had to ask for everything. By 0950 the whole buffet had been cleared, employees seemed very eager to clean up and didn't ask me even once if I needed something. Receptionists were courteous and friendly (they were GOOD), a girl whose name I pronounce as "New" provided me with all kinds of pleasant touristic suggestions such as bia hoi, street food spots, and amazing vietnamese (egg) coffee.

Good quiet, comfy rooms in the heart old quarter
Staff were friendly & helpful, and we upgraded to suite with a balcony which was larger, comfy beds and had views of street life below - we were very happy to come back to our quiet comfy room at end of the day
