It was self check-in and they email the entry codes 30min before check-in so try to have data or public wifi to get this information. First impressions was that it was very dirty and stained everywhere. It looked like it was lightly vacuumed and everything else pushed under the bed and couch. "The place is clean with tiny shower. I hate the check-in process and the time (10am out, 3pm in which is cheating). I like the surrounding area with many restaurants. It's not English's friendly area, btw. The area is clean. I did not see any roach after 3 days when 1 sneaked under the broken door seal (I killed it so it's safe now:)"

"It was my first time visiting Tokyo with my family and staying at Rooms was one of my best choices! Host was very helpful with our inquiries, very responsive and exceptionally friendly and considerate. I would rate our stay 5 stars for the fully equipped kitchen, 2 separate bathrooms, washing machine and comfortable beds! The location was amazing with so many good restaurants nearby and train stations are within 10 mins walking distance. The next time we come back to Tokyo, I will certainly stay...

"There are sanitary issues. I heard and saw rats. There were bunch of trash bags by an entrance. A bathroom had very strong smells. I had to leave there in the second day. The owner didn’t reply and fix problems. "

"This was our home base for a month during our 3 months in Japan. Yukari and Eichii were the best hosts anyone could ever hope for! The apartment was great - good Wifi (in case you plan to work during your stay), modern well appointed kitchen & laundry / bathroom, and everything you'd need for a clean, comfortable stay. The location is well connected to the Hibiya and Tozai subway lines, so really easy to access the rest of Tokyo and beyond, while still being in a neighborhood with a community...

Hotel Villa Fontaine Grand Tokyo-ariake

10/10 Excellent

"Our room was comfortable and clean. I appreciate that staff replenished our towels and water daily. Linens are changed every other day and that's OK. I wish they would make the beds daily though. The only criticism I have is the wifi connection. It was very hard to connect on an android phone. Hit or miss. We did not use the spa but saw plenty of people taking advantage of it. Finally, I really appreciated the free shuttle bus to haneda airport. It made the start of our journey home very easy and convenient. "

We also particularly enjoyed the tea time and the tranquil outside areas on the terrace and the third floor. Additionally, there is a currency exchange machine and laundry machines are available."

"I had a great stay at Keio Plaza Hotel in Shinjuku! The room had an incredible view of Mt. Fuji (on clear days) and we could also see the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building’s light show at night, which was such a cool bonus. The location is super convenient — really close to metro lines, tons of shopping, and all the nightlife Shinjuku has to offer. It made getting around and exploring Tokyo really easy. Breakfast was excellent with a nice mix of Japanese and Western options. Whether you’re into traditional Japanese breakfast or prefer something more familiar like eggs and toast, they’ve got you covered. The staff were also amazing — really friendly and helpful the whole time. You can tell they take pride in their service. Definitely planning to stay here again next time I’m in Tokyo. Highly recommend it! "
