"Alberico's house is simply enchanting and so is the hamlet of Ponzanello. You really feel like you're stepping back in time (except you have access to all the modern amenities which is great)! The location is perfect if you have a car, about a hour drive to Cinque Terre, plenty of vineyards and other medieval villages to visit in the surroundings."

"The villa was located in a very peaceful location we stayed as a family group of 8 and overall had a great stay although there were positives and negatives. Positives Lovely pool, kitchen, bathrooms, bedrooms and outdoor terrace. Negatives Not much in the local area without a long drive, not enough sun beds. The fourth bedroom is the lounge with no air con. Air con not working in main bedroom and the agent was unable to fix this so uncomfortable sleeping. We had a good holiday but would not return. "

"The most immediately striking thing about the property is the garden - spectacular views of the mountains and a large and stylish swimming pool. But the house is also great, with large rooms and, a well-equipped kitchen. Stefano was a helpful, responsive and friendly host."

"We really enjoyed the location and the impressive views of the mountains. The village is very quiet and we had many relaxing days around the property. We used the location as a base to visit Pisa, Cinque Terre and Florence and the hosts made some good recommendations of places to visit on the coast e.g Lerici and Levanto. We felt that the property would benefit from air conditioning in the peak summer months but we managed ok with fans in all bedrooms. It was difficult to park our hired car close to the property but this is a minor point. Overall we had a great time and Ganna and Alan were really great hosts."

"Very spacious - so many rooms and areas to relax in both inside and out (the photos don't do it justice) Very good communication with owner and caretaker of the property Nice big swimming pool with towels provided Wi-fi can be temperamental so don't rely on it for anything important or substantive If coming from UK note you will need to leave 500 Euro CASH deposit (returned at the end) Would definitely come back"

"The property is lovely, very clean and comfortable. The views from the terrace of the surrounding mountains are superb, and the area is very quiet. We booked the "Cook at home" experience and I have to say it was one of the best meals we have ever had. The pool is well maintained and a good size, but could maybe benefit from some umbrellas/shade. Overall we had a fantastic week here and would definitely book again!"
