The docks in the old town of Lidk?ping, southern Sweden, might not be the prettiest sight in the world, but it is my hometown and will always mean a lot to me. The town of Lidk?ping is about 600 years old and still a market town which once made it famous. The word "k?ping" in the name means "market town." Lid" comes from the river Lidan which dvides the town in to the old part and the new part.

"Das Haus ist einfach ein Traum . Die Lage ist perfekt und das Objekt wunderschön. Es ist alles da war man braucht . Wie man auf den Bildern sieht , ist ein Schlafzimmer auf der offenen Galerie (das könnte für manche vielleicht ein Problem sein). Wir waren mit unseren Söhnen da und es war perfekt. "Unfortunate “renovation” of lovely old building took all the charm and character and trashed it for artificial surfaces, ugly bland furnishings, and tiny cell-like rooms. Do hotels really get stars for having a pool table or a shiny plastic chandelier? Sad. Front desk staffed by cheerful young woman, which was the only saving grace of an empty town and depressing hotel. "
