Nice place

Needed a place to getaway and relax. This had everything I wanted. The bed was a little uncomfortable but that’s more of a me issue. Nice location and reasonable price.

Wonderful vacation

First time to visit Galveston TX and was very happy with our condo. It seemed to be a safe area, we didn’t hear the other guests while we were in our rooms. It was clean and just as described and you are right beside a WM if you need anything and cross the road and you are on the beach you can’t beat it

Summer Vacation

The location was perfect. We were able to walk right across to the beach. My granddaughters loved the kid friendly pool. We spent most of our time there. The hot tubs were also a great amenity. The condo had a beach view. Only issue make sure you use the codes given at the office at check in not the codes emailed by Evolve.

Family fun!

This condo was the perfect size for our little group! It was clean and we could see the hot tub and the ocean! There were plenty of towels and supplies to get you through the first couple of days. Make sure you have an ice chest because the refrigerator is small. Ice is available on site. Have fun!

Great spot for a lower cost

Great location, right at the beach. Management was great at responding to concerns/needs. Only thing was it was a little small for full comfort and the property (actual building) had some minor fixings that could be done but I’d still stay again due to the price and convenience of location. Overall, we got what we needed.

Perfect little spot!

We loved staying here! It's walkable to a Rita's, which we loved! Very convenient to be able to cross the street and be right on the beach. It felt clean and the AC works fantastic! There's also a Walmart right next door, which is extremely convenient! This condo is a really great value. Our 2 minor complaints were the toaster oven not working and the WiFi and cell reception in the condo were pretty bad, so don't plan on trying to use the WiFi for work during your stay. But it didn't bother us that much. It was nice to step away from our phones for a while. We will definitely be returning in the future!

The location was great however the property was not very clean when we arrived and it had some issues. The toaster oven was missing pieces of it so it made it hard to cook anything.

Small refrigerator

The condo was cute but small. The location was not where they made it outto be. The refrigerator was a motel size refrigerator. Could not fit a weeks worth if groceries in it. Made several trips to walmart. Thank god it was right next store. That should be made known to people in the advertisement.

Great place

We enjoyed our stay in this cute condo at the Victorian. The location was perfect for daily walks to the beach. All we had to do was pack up our wagon and walk across using the cross walk right in front of the condos. It’s very close to restaurants and grocery stores. The Victorian itself has easy covered parking, it’s gated so it felt very safe, the pools looked great even though we never got around to using them, the outdoor shower on ground level was so helpful. This condo was clean upon arrival, it was perfect for myself and my two kids (11 and 14 years old). The bed in the main bedroom was comfortable and clean. The bed in the little hallway nook was great too. The bathroom looked new and clean. There were many other families staying here so I felt very comfortable. I would stay here again!

Ac not working

The ac didn’t work correctly for the entire time we were there. It would cool off a little at night but would get up to 80 during the day. I try to contact someone about this and the did nothing about it

The toilet kept running. Had a cold shower the first day. Tv wouldnt work. The fridge did not get cold. Stains on the towels and blanket. The owner did send a plumber and the toilet got fixed. The maid brought some more towels that were stain free.

In A Word: Dirty

I have been renting from VRBO exclusively for years and I can say this was the dirtiest property I have had the misfortune of paying money to use. Only reason we stayed here was because we decided on a last-minute trip for the long weekend and the only other rental with our criteria had several mentions of roaches. I can see why this rental and that rental were the last ones available. The floor was so dirty, our feet were black after an hour. I wish I could post pictures to show the damp paper towel I used to wipe around the kitchen area, a perfect black handprint. The sheets were stained, there was gross yellow crusty stuff on the bedroom comforter, hair stuck to the door in the bathroom, the toilet looked like it had gotten a wipe down and called clean and just to top it off - a complete big toenail clipping on the balcony right in front of one of the PVC pipe made chairs. The "gates" in front of each door slammed so loudly you could hear all your neighbors coming in & out at all hours. And for listing this as sleeping 5 people, I don't know how that's possible. Two people in the super squeaky queen bed, one person in the U-shaped twin bed that sits on garden bricks with no center support (I WISH I could upload pictures) and one person, maybe, on the hardest futon not classified as a sidewalk for a total of four, MAX. Sitting on the futon was uncomfortable enough without it triggering a sneezing fit from whatever allergen was on it. The property is completely outdated as you can quickly tell by the Golden Girls era furniture and décor in the lobby. We arrived after hours and were told at the door to check in with security and come back in the morning. The building has nothing to do with the rentals. They are there to collect to the $30 parking/amenity fee only. And by amenities, they mean a milky overly chlorinated smelling (and you know what means) crowded pool in which hardly anyone had the required paper bracelets on, laundry room that's seen better decades and gate codes. The pedestrian gates were unlocked all 4 times we tried them, and the main gate stays open long enough to let multiple cars in with one code entry. The final straw was when we realized the balcony door latch did not work. The door does not lock. I called the first contact to complain about this safety issue & got no answer. 2 stars only because of location; across from the beach & Walmart is across the other street and the female security guard was super nice.

Okay but not great

Our five-year-old loved it especially the nook bedroom. That was a very cute addition and probably the highlight of the condo with the kids’ pool coming in second. The pictures made it look really clean and chic, almost high end, so I think we went in with too high expectations. The master bedroom bed was way too soft to be comfortable and the futon that served as our third bed and couch was super hard. The drywall had obviously been done by someone who was learning and the more you looked around the more you realized that the place was pretty busted up underneath its paint. Rotting wood along the baseboards, overly chlorined bathroom. Three air fresheners were trying to cover it all up but just added to the chemical nonsense of the air. It wasn’t a place that felt clean and well taken care of so we didn’t really feel comfortable there. The WiFi didn’t work. The bedroom tv remote didn’t work so we couldn’t use that tv. None of these are that big of a deal isolated. It was all of them together that created the environment. Different fixtures (shelf, curtain rod, decor) in the wall were not mounted well, seemed like they were just waiting to fall off. The property looked a little rough. All of the grounds and front desk employees were friendly and professional. One elevator was broken, the others were hot and a little smelly. The carpet in the outdoor hallway looked pretty beat up, but that did muffle people’s voices so yay for carpet! With all that said, our motto for the time there turned into “kids don’t see crumbs”. So in that respect here are the things we liked: multiple hand sanitizers, shampoo, conditioner, body bar, hand soap, dish soap, salt pepper, other general spices and oils, sponge, hand towels, wash rags, dish washer soap, vacuum cleaner, broom, spare pillows and a sheet set for the futon, extra blankets, bath towels and beach towels were all available. We were pleasantly surprised to see how much the hot tubs were used, in the pictures they looked kind of secluded. There was a pool monitor who did a phenomenal job conversing with the guests and we even caught her picking up trash in the parking garage. The residents were friendly and the other guests seemed friendly enough, although a couple small groups looked rough. The property has a code that you have to use to get in to drive or walk, the hot tub’s had their own code, and the pools each had their own code. Everyone knew if you should be there bc you had to wear a wristband.
