"Quinta Nova is a beautiful Quinta in spectacular surroundings. It is very comfortable and the service is impeccable - probably the best welcome of any hotel I have ever stayed at. The restaurant was also excellent - with enough choice for 3 fabulous meals even though the menu didn’t change during our 3 night stay. The walking trail around the vineyards is superb and a real highlight of our stay. "

A car is required to get to the hotel, although I didn’t partake in any of the spa it did look amazing - the pool and the drinks are amazing - the breakfast is amazing where you can sit on the terrace - the restaurant offers good food although I thought it was a bit too much and overly fancy for nothing - and the taste wasn’t really there. "The LBV House was a great place to stay. It’s a quick drive to the main part of town. It is a short walk but quite hilly. Breakfast was delicious, staff friendly, and stay was very enjoyable. "

"The hotel was in a remote area but had beautiful views and was worth the effort. The swimming pool was a welcome addition as it was very hot when we arrived. The dinner and breakfast were good. There seemed to be a problem with the doors to the rooms which people kept banging to get them to close. Added to that someone managed to open our door when we were almost asleep and the hotel dog ran into our room. Very disconcerting and not condusive to a good nights sleep."
