Just a short drive out of Fredericksburg takes you to this wonderful property, which sits on 5 acres and is designed to enjoy breezes and privacy. Rooster Springs is a board and batten cabin with an early Texas character. Located 8 miles from town, Rooster Springs is the perfect getaway to enjoy the quiet countryside and rest and relaxation. “One day in the country is worth a month in the city.”

Enjoy watching nature and, when lucky, the deer playing in the field. Grill your dinner and enjoy the picnic area overlooking the bluff. A hot tub sits behind your host's home but is exclusively for guests to use during their stay. Inside the living room boasts wide plank pine floors and old-fashioned 6 over 6 wood windows accented with lace curtains. A limestone rock fireplace is the focal point of this quaint room. The fully-equipped kitchen with old red style cabinets is ready for cooking. Table is set for two. The focal point of the light and airy bedroom is the queen-size white iron bed topped with quilt. A large shower is in the en suite bath.

*Children are allowed but we ask that they are 12 years of age or older.

*The cabin is private but the homeowner does maintain a separate residence on the property.

Please Note: You are renting a cabin in the Hill Country which means you may encounter wildlife (Snakes, Deer, Racoons, ETC). Please be aware of your surroundings, and take caution while driving at night. You may also encounter the various bugs, spiders, scorpions and mice that live in the country AND sometimes do make their way inside. All properties do utilize pest control services on a regular basis BUT this does not guarantee no pests or bugs will be visible.

Darling Cabin
My husband & I totally enjoyed our stay. This little cabin had it all! Great outdoor area with a fire pit, comfy bed, wood burning fireplace inside & all the amenities you need to unwind & enjoy Fredericksburg & the Hill Country. We will be back!

Bad start for New Years - NEVER saw host of property.
We never saw the Property host, NEVER. The place was so dang cute with all the rooster decor. Gave a 2 star because it was in the low 80's in temp and we wanted to do some outdoor things and all the outdoor table and chairs were so dirty! We left a day earlier than paid for. Loved the cabin itself. Had breakfast to make pancakes but no butter or syrup! Did not have hot tub but a spa and was not private, in the host back yard, which they mentioned but it is really not private at all.

The rental started off with a glitch since the first property we rented ended up unavailable. We were given a few choices and picked one (specifically with a hot tub). Then when we arrived, found out the hot tub was out of order. The AC had a hard time keeping up so we were lucky it was December.

Cleaning Review
Neat property. All was good with the exception of the cleaning. We were greeted with precious guest linens left on the floor and the coffee pot also had the previous guests’ coffee in it - not a huge deal, but makes one wonder if covid cleaning was done properly.
