HISTORICAL NOTE
In the Renaissance, Via delle Terme was full of painters’ workshops. The apartment is situated in a former nobleman’s palace and is protected as a historical building by the Commune of Florence. The property originates from the early 1400s and became property of the Altoviti family from 1448.
It was acquired by Uberto di Francesco De’ Nobili in 1485.
The entrance of the building is large and spacious with a lovely staircase that gives access to the first floor. The interior is furnished with antique furniture: from the 1600s there is the church pew situated in the entrance, the kneeler in the bedroom and the pear wood dresser in the dining room. The bedroom door has a precious Turinese glass window from the 1800s; the small glass cabinet is English. The refectory table from the 1500s, in the living room, is the oldest piece of furniture.

A beautiful and large apartment in the heart of Florence—rich with history and antiquity! We loved our stay there!

The location was perfect - right downtown. Property was clean but the lobby smelled terrible. Beds were ok and the guest bathroom needs to be updated. Hosts were great people

We loved everything about the apartment. Charming, clean, comfortable. Owners are super friendly and helpful. Location is just minutes from everything we wanted to see. Super safe. Even umbrellas incase rain and it did one day. Honestly if you want a perfect vacation in Florence book it asap.

The apartment was conveniently located near all the downtown restaurants and shopping. The hosts arranged ground transportation for us to and from the airport. The apartment was well furnished and decorated. The WiFi worked great!

Excellent communication with owners, and Dora is an excellent manager! Great check in, stay and check out experience. Location was superb, safe place, provided all we needed. Lots of space for a place in the heart of Florence.

Ideal location, 2bathrooms, but only one useable shower. Apartment has lots of charm. Highly recommend this place

The property is comfortable and convenient for walking around the city. We would have appreciated more paper goods for the bathrooms and more clarity about the number of bedrooms ( advertised as 3 but was only prepared for 2). Isabella was wonderfully helpful with getting a taxi at the end of our stay.

A beautiful, comfortable, historic home in the heart of Florence. We fit seven adult family members comfortably. Five to fifteen minute walks broguht us to the river, train station, Uffizi Gallery, Pitti Palace, Duomo, cafes, eveything we needed and wanted to see. Hosts were wonderful. I would book again without hesitation.

This pretty apartment in a historic building has plenty of room for a family or pair of couples, at a reasonable price. We enjoyed walking to lots of sights in the center as well as excellent nearby restaurants. Note that with no elevator and a steep flight of stairs the apartment is not for anyone with mobility issues.

This was our favorite stay in our month long trip of Europe. The location is directly in the center of Old Town with many shops, restaurants and cafes steps away. The air conditioning was a wonderful addition in the heat. We rented a car in Old Town and took day trips to the famous beaches all around Corfu. The apartment was roomy for my two teens and us. Large equipped kitchen and large dining table. Highly recommend!

Great location. Central to everything. Only issue with apartment is the fold out bed. Very uncomfortable. Wasn’t able to sleep in it the first night because only staff could get it out and they did not show up until the next day. Luckily there was a futon which was far more comfortable. Beautiful inside.

We knew it was an old property and it was so close to everything but it was also noisy. Construction going on in building which we were not told about, and vendors taking out their carts early morning and returning them in alleyway each morning and night was very noisy. If you can overlook this it was perfect

The best thing about this place is location - a couple minutes walking to everything. The place could use some modernizing, but it has everything that the listing says except a dryer. There is lots of room with two bedrooms and two sitting areas plus a dining room. The second bathroom is acceptable, although the shower is very small. One complaint is that the large bedroom (master) is located off an alley that can get somewhat noisy in the early morning with delivery and trash pickups.

6/10

My husband and I stayed here with our daughter. I would say the place is old and delicate. When you enter the building there is a sewer smell. The lady at check in said to drink bottled water. The master bed was very comfortable, but shower is a little tight to a glass wall. The other bedroom is very dark and creepy. The second bathroom shower was extremely small. There are NOT three bedrooms like the listing says. There is a couch in an open room between the second bedroom and the living room. The couch/chairs in the living room weren’t very comfortable either. I wouldn’t recommend this apartment for a family. It would be only comfortable for a couple. The location is the best part about it.

Amazing place. Wonderful hosts. Location is excellent - within 10-15 minutes walk of almost everything you'd want to see in Florence. The apartment was quite spacious for 5 of us. Beautiful old style, which is what we wanted. Two flights of stairs which is fairly standard most places in Italy. Air conditioning worked great. Second bathroom is fairly small, but still functional. The master bedroom had a window with a view of other buildings on a small alley - which was nice. The only downside was that we did hear a couple of work carts rattling through the alley around 5am each morning. But in some ways it was part of the experience - it's the heartbeat of Florence, with vendors and businesses getting ready for the day. We would absolutely stay here again!

Upon our arrival, we were greeted with a shower drain that overflowed and had at best 5 minutes of hot water available. The second shower in this apartment is not appropriately sized for an adult, it may be big enough for a child to use. Although the shower drain was “fixed” it continually flooded the bathroom afterwards (to be fair, to a smaller degree). In addition, the alleyway outside of the apartment is extremely loud in the early morning and late night hours, especially in the master bedroom. The location was great and it was nice to be within walking distance of all attractions. However, we would not recommend this property to others.

Eight of us stayed for four nights. The flat is in a very central, and therefore convenient, location in Florence. This made our daily site-seeing within Florence very simple and our walk to catch a train for a day trip to Siena easy. There are a couple of great restaurants just a couple doors down the street with more just blocks away. The rooms are air conditioned which was really nice and the kitchen had everything we needed to fix breakfast. The sleeping arrangements include two bedrooms - one the master and the other with two twin-size beds. We also used the sofa bed and a provided fold out double in a more common area to sleep the eight of us. it worked out well for us. The check-in and check-out process was easy and the hosts provided a bottle of wine as a welcome - a very nice touch. I would recommend this place for a large family wanting a great location in downtown Florence.

We stayed with our son for a few days, check-in with Cecilia was great, she walked us around then told us to read the guess book. After that it was very difficult to communicate with her or anyone for that matter. We had issues with hot water, took hours for a response that was no help. Asked to check out at which they changed by 15 minutes when ask to make sure they weren’t late, was told she would make it. To just leave the keys. Then I know our fault for leaving some thing behind(my passport) but after several attempt to message and call with hours of no answers making us miss our Train. I had to wait hours to hear from anyone then more time to wait to get back in to get it. We were not happy with the management at all.

My 3 months in the Palazzetto dei Nobili could not have been better! The apartment is incredibly beautiful and huge. My visitors had their own suite with a large bedroom, small bathroom and living room. Two sets of doors separated it from the rest of the apartment so that we all had the utmost privacy. The furnishings are all antiques as seen in a the photos and one can imagine having lived here 500 years ago. On the modern side, all of the appliances worked perfectly. It is unusual to have a dryer in Italy though I used it only once since it took a long time to dry clothes and I didn’t want to use so much energy. I was there during the winter and so I hung my clothes near the radiators and they were dry by morning. The kitchen is furnished with everything needed for 3 days or 3 months. Cecilia and Isabella could not have been kinder and more helpful. It was such a pleasure to get to know them, and I would have no hesitation in renting this apartment again since everything, including the location is perfect!
