"We had the BEST time at this resort!!! The resort was absolutely BEAUTIFUL, the staff was so amazing and accommodating and even provided a birthday cake without us requesting so it was such a lovely suprise. I can’t recommend this place enough and I’ll definitely be coming back every summer from now on. "

"We stayed here as a couple for 3 nights specifically attending for a friend's wedding, half board (breakfast & dinner). The hotel itself looks like it's located amongst other nearby hotels/resorts/residential and a beach. We didn't go to the beach as it wasn't private to the hotel and extremely busy, parasols everywhere (we travelled during the summer holiday). Hotel and grounds are large, clean and modern. "Fantastic resort, we had a 2 bed apartment that was spacious, clean and comfortable. Nice swimming pool with plenty of seating and umbrellas for shade. Staff extremely helpful. Just the most wonderful of venues."

"It’s a stunning property. Loved the sunset champagne bar. Food and drinks are pricey, but there are other options nearby. The pizza at the Italian restaurant and the burger at the lunch spot near the pool with the swim up bar were yummy."

"We had a two bedroom suite at the Residences. Hotel is beautiful but it is very spread out. To go to beach and main hotel building you need to take a shuttle which you may need to wait for 15-20 minutes. For a 5 star resort service was a bit spotty. We had a mishap at breakfast- was told we can do a la cart instead of buffet but ended up waiting for 1 hour to get eggs which was ridiculous. This hotel is also outside of Albufeira so location is not super convenient - you have to drive to town. "

"Absolutely amazing resort with so much to do for young children. There is entertainment every hour of the day and the night time entertainment is out standing. Highly recommend. We didn’t go all inclusive and disappointed we didn’t as when we got there it was booked up. "

"Absolutely beautiful property. Amazing views of the city!I was amazed how it was so perfectly annexed in the old city of faro, yet the property was so modern and relaxing. The spa room was amazing, and the drinks from the bar were as well. I will definitely stay here again if visiting Portugal, it's a nice way to step foot into what the South of Portugal has to offer. The staff are extremely nice and easy to engage in genuine conversation."

Fantastic relaxing hotel

"The hotel is AMAZING so are the staff!! The room had a beautiful view of the ocean and pool. The swallows were so cute flying around the greenery. The pool was great! Every 2 chairs had an umbrella. We went down to the beach but you have to reserve chairs and pay for them which we didn’t not so we sat on the sand for a little while. They have 4 restaurants which we only went to 2 we had buffet breakfast that had a lot to choose from and. Are at the Italian restaurant 2x food is excellent and Rita is the sweetest! All in all it’s ***** Much needed beach relax after site seeing Lisbon and Porto"

"The staff was wonderful, as was the restaurant food and the facilities. Of all the locations at which my wife and I stayed during three weeks in Europe, the Dom Jose was the cleanest and most comfortable. Rui, who worked the front desk, was great, as were all of the staff. The only complaint was that there was no on-site parking, which meant paid parking near the beach or parking a distance from the hotel. Otherwise, we'd visit again."

"The hotel is conveniently set by the harbour and within easy walking distance to the old town, shops, bars and restaurants. The hotel itself is super clean, friendly staff and offering a lovely rooftop bar for the perfect sunset views. Good breakfast buffet accompanied by a piano player, rooms cleaned daily, we will definitely by returning. "

"The hotel is in a great location on top of the cliffs with easy access to a beautiful beach 2 mins walk away. The whole hotel is lovely, rooms, pools etc. we did notice one of the restaurants in the hotel was shut but there were restaurants within walking distance if you didn’t mind a 29 min walk otherwise it would be very limited dining. The old town is a free bus ride away but it’s a 25 min walk as it only runs 3 times a day. Here you will find the ‘party’ if you wanted it, it’s lovely in day before the clubs get going, but it’s worth noting the hotel itself is in a lovely peaceful quite spot on top of the cliffs with sea views."
