"A beautiful place to stay with stunning views and a fantastic pool — ideal for outdoor gatherings.However, it's unfortunate that there’s no air conditioning or fly screens, which made it difficult to leave the windows open. This led to a very hot room at night and a lot of mosquito bites, which significantly affected my sleep."

"We felt very lucky to have found your lovely farmhouse. The old olive press was very interesting. The house was huge, comfortable, the hosts were very welcoming and the location was perfect for us. It was close enough to Porto, Pinhao, Guimarães, and on a beautiful bend of the Douro River. Thank you so much!"

"The property was lovely, and clean. The host was very responsive both in the lead up to the trip, and throughout our stay - she couldn’t have done more for us."

"Comfortable, plenty of space, clean, excellent host. It was a relaxing environment with excellent views, but the pool and games room meant there was plenty to do. We were on a stag do so relaxing have a bbq whilst gearing up for another night out in Porto helped. Also, great for families. "

"This was seriously one of our best experiences ever. Victor was the best host and communicated with us from the very beginning ensuring our stay was smooth and comfortable throughout. On arrival he even made sure we got our dinner from a local restaurant making a request for them to make food for us after they were closed for the day. "You are 30 mins from everything in Porto and only an hour from Douro Valley vineyards. I really liked the vibe of this country setting, with the small town of Melres nearby for groceries and cafes. We enjoyed lazy days by the pool and would definitely come back to explore the area more."

"Our group of 17 very much enjoyed this beautiful property and the warm hospitality from Rui and Elizabeta. The children loved the indoor and outdoor pools and games (ping pong, pool, foosball) and it was great to have delicious dinners arranged a few times during our week's stay."

"Wow! What a privilege to stay in a one of a kind architecturally amazing home overlooking the Douro River. João, our host, helped us navigate our way to the home and welcomed us with chocolate, wine and kindness.The accommodations lacked nothing. The home was clean, comfortable, beautiful, well-appointed and a view that felt more like a postcard than reality.I would definitely recommend this home, and personally, I look forward to another opportunity to visit.Thank you João for everything!"
