"Nice rustic experience with all the modern conveniences. The village and everyone in it were super pleasant and welcomed us in with open arms. The house (old olive mill) was very impressive and has many balconies and decks to sit and relax. I recommend if you want to stay out of the hustle of the city have a quiet time then this is the place."

"The apartment is spacious, clean, well-appointed with all the necessary equipment for a nice holiday and we slept well in a comfortable bed. The decoration is peaceful with charming personal touches. Milatos Beach, with its tavernas along the front, including one run by Kostas’ family, has more the laid back feel of the villages on the south coast. We can recommend the food at the family taverna and ate there frequently enjoying the very warm hospitality of the family. We would recommend it."

Viele Sehenswürdigkeiten in Heraklion sind fußläufig zu erreichen und selbst Knossos ist nur etwa 8-10 km entfernt. Weiter Ziele z. B. im Süden, Westen, Südwesten sind nur mit Mietwagen zu erreichen bzw. man holt vorher Erkundigungen ein zum ausgebauten Bus-Linienverkehr. "The hosts, Julie and Manthos, went out of their way to help us settle in, giving loads of local information and suggestions of places to visit. Julie was always on hand to help and gave us lifts to and from the village. The house was perfect, the balcony and view especially.
