"Stayed for three nights at this wonderful property. Kids loved everything about it and our stay was just enough. We picked up supplies before getting to the house, so the only thing we went out for was bait at the local general store. Though the water was too cold for swimming, the beach was great for the use of the stand up paddle board, canoe, and kayaks. We fished all day and made use of the very generous welcome gift to make smores at night. The lake was so peaceful, there was some limited boating during the day, otherwise very quiet place to relax. I don’t think anybody wanted to leave and we could have enjoyed Acadia from the lake house being about an hour away but we made plans to stay in Bar Harbor. The only complaint we had was the couches were horrible for relaxing in the evening. We also had an incident with a rather large spider in the bedroom but it’s the woods and we live in the woods as well so we know what it’s about. The house was stocked with all the essentials, everything for making meals, plenty of linens and towels, WiFi. If we ever find ourselves heading up to Maine again, this house on Beech Hill Pond will be at the top of our list. bonus, we were greeted by a threesome of loons every day. "
