"Expedia does not do this place & the room justice with their photos. It is not a 5 star resort but it’s also not a dingy hotel. It’s just an older property so some thing’s just are little outdated like in our room for example, there’s like cracks or chipped paint and then the pool is outdated but it’s such a vibe and feels amazing!! "The people who worked at Puerta Cortes were very nice. There were A LOT of flies outdoors in every restaurant and no one told us that the beaches aren't used by locals because of the stingrays in the shallow waters.... despite that - we thought it was an amazingly beautiful area. There was an issue with a late pickup on the return trip to the airport but it all worked out ok in the end."
