"Such a comfortable place to stay. Although small, the room has everything needed including fresh milk and water. We stated for two nights and we returned to find fresh towels and milk and water refreshed. Staff were friendly too. Great stay."

"Location excellent and the staff were all excellent too. I personally found the breakfast disappointing as there was a watery residue from the mushrooms and poached egg which made the plate watery. This did not live up to my expectations from reading previous reviews of the breakfast. "

"Have to say I was super impressed with this inn. First off, the rooms aren’t big but they are comfortable and the bathrooms are big for England. The bed linens were some of the most comfortable I’ve ever slept on. Would come back for those alone but really the best part of the entire stay was the staff. Specifically David and Anja. They were incredibly nice, amazingly friendly and super helpful. Some of the hardest working people I’ve ever met. Thanks to both of you. Great place to base a tour...

"The staff were friendly and the pub was so convenient for walks for the dogs and for places to eat. The dogs were comfortable and happy and we had everything we needed."

"Good Convenient Hotel in Ryde, though slightly dated, all the amenities were present. The restaurant was good, we ate there twice. Some minor issues with windows and bed make up, but the staff were helpful in getting it all fixed. Was also given a free breakfast upgrade, which was appreciated. "

"Wykeham Arms is absolutely charming historic coaching inn/pub, enlivened by charming staff and decor. Our room was a fun mix of comfort and quirk. The bed was particularly comfortable (including linens, pillows). Food at Wykeham arms is outstanding, creative and served with joy. Small point-the upstairs stairwell could use a bit of a refresh."

"The entire team at Swan Hotel was very friendly and engaged well with the guests. The restaurant was excellent for both breakfast and dinner. Our superior room was large, clean and very comfortable. The hotel was an easy 30 minute walk to Jane Austen’s home and Chawton. Would highly recommend the Swan Hotel for a stay in Alton."
