"We had an amazing 5 days. This trip involved 4 generations of my family. We came to Machias to go to my grandson’s high school graduation. Six of us came from Florida and the others were from Maine. The house was a perfect size for our family. We spent a majority of the time out on the deck. The weather was gorgeous for us. We were even given the opportunity to witness the wonderful wildlife in the area. We had two moose wander through the yard on one occasion. Then we had two deer come through twice. This was amazing. My youngest grandson who is 6 was able to wade in the lake and chase after bullfrogs. They did a little fishing and some kayaking as well. The kids took advantage to the trials and rented a side by side. This was an amazing property to enjoy the outdoors. The owners were available for any issues. The house was ready earlier than we were expecting. So all you need to do is pack up some groceries and you’re ready to enjoy the outdoors. We are already looking at planning our next trip in 2025. This trip will be a little longer. Thank you so much Lucus and Evonn for renting out such a beautiful property."

"Booked this as a surprise get away ling weekend for my wife and I. Pictures do the view no justice. We did explore some of downeast maine but would have been content to just sit and watch the ocean from the back porch. Will definitely come back. Tranquility at its finest."

"This location was what our family needed for a long weekend of nothing! The Rocky beach was isolated, yet a perfect place for our young grandchildren to explore and search the ‘pirate cove’. A few trips up and down those beach stairs were better than any gym workout! Amazing hikes were within short driving distances - all levels of hikes. The house is exactly as described and has everything you could possibly need or want!"

"After a very stressful 4-5 weeks in our regular life, a week of peaceful days and quiet nights couldn’t have been more appreciated. Weather beautiful, a little windy for fly fishing but our guide on the lakes made it work. Fishing right off the dock early mornings and late evenings with spectacular sunsets right in front of us. Explored and found new areas to fish, hoping to be back soon."

Good distance for day trips to Acadia and other lovely Maine spots. Catherine responded quickly to every message I sent. Smooth check in process too. I hope to stay here again and again."
