Just 45 minutes from Hobart, Dunalley is a small town by the sea with a canal and swing bridge separating it from the Tasman Peninsula.
Affected but also in a way spared from annihilation which could have befallen them in the disastrous fires that roared through the area in January 2013, Bangor Wine & Oyster Shed sits above the town, overlooking Bangor Vineyard, Blackman Bay, Marion Bay and Norfolk Bay where some of Australia's best oysters are grown.

Now it is a stop on the way to or from Port Arthur or a retreat after work on Friday nights when it is open in summer until 9.00pm. Award winning wines, cheese & antipasto platters and dishes of the day plus great coffee make this one of my favourite weekend call-bys.

"Property was comfortable and well-appointed in a great location. A great place to stay if you want a peaceful holiday. We went to the beach every day, sometimes to swim but walked along it every night. There are other great beaches for swimming a small drive away. "
