Taken in through a side door to our room with no orientation about the palace its surroundings local places to eat. Exterior beautiful gardens neglected. Viewing deck total overgrown. "Great Location, out of the city, but not far from shopping center and local restaurants. 30 minutes away from Durban. Checking-in was easy, and the room was spacious, and the lady receiving us was helpful and guide us where to find food close by. Breakfast was good, and sufficient, service was very good. The only 2 things I would say were bad, is that the hot water run out quick, not enough for 2 people to take hot showers (unless you are quick), that was an issue now that is winter. The other...

"We were there to book in at 14:00 when we could book in, our room was not ready! It was not cleaned yet and we had to get ready for a wedding!! We had to wait till 14:50 till they were done cleaning and had to be atvthe wedsing T 16:00. We had to do our make up outside in the heat and was sweating because they were busy and we could not so it in the room with the aircon on. I had to rush doing my and my daughters hair. We were not impressed at all!"

"We were near the centre of Durban, everything was easy to reach by car. The host was very friendly and helpful throughout. The accomodation was generously sized and cleaned regularly. Living in Durban has challenges but our stay was worthwhile."
