The house is located in the village of De Kwakel, 5 minutes from Aalsmeer where there is the biggest plant and flower market in Europe (De veiling) that you can visit.
The house also has an enclosed courtyard with a garden shed where bikes and a barbecue are stored.

Clean and well-equipped property
The house is clean, well-located for our purpose (family visit) and the caretakers who live next door were friendly and helpful. The bikes are a nice bonus. Be mindful that to use the dryer, you need open the skylight and hang the hose outside—otherwise the moisture from the laundry will collect in the pipe.

Wonderful place, Wonderful help at check in and out, hidden costs in booking
We loved our stay and the couple who checked us in and out - they were so kind. We were unhappy with the accuracy of the booking info. After we booked, we were notified that there were additional fees for cleaning and sheets. On VRBOs site, it gave us a total and it stated that it "includes taxes and fees." We texted the owner and stated that the booking didn't mention any fees, she didn't respond to our text.

Big, clean and in a nice quiet area
Property was very spacious and perfectly suited my family of 5. The area was nice and quiet, with a park right around the corner for kids as well. Perfect place for a family. House keeper was very friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again.

Nice small town atmosphere but only a 20 min drive to Amsterdam! The bikes came in handy as we loved to take an evening bike ride in the countryside and also visit the local grocery store. The locals were friendly and helpful! Restaurants are nearby. Everything was so comfortable!

Cosiest, best equipped holiday house I have ever been to.
Booking was very easy and Agatha always responded instantly. The house is lovely from the outside entrance to the back yard. You will find places to hang all your coats. Living room is furnished with style. There is a TV, receiver and WiFi. Kitchen diner is of excellent quality. All appliances and even there was tea, coffee, sugar, sweetener, spices and some remaining oil, pasta and rice from previous renters. This was really helpful as we arrived in the evening. Backyard is fantastic. I bet in the summer, breakfast outside is great fun. The bikes were source of joy to the kids. Bedrooms are great. If you are not paying, you need to take all the bed linens; sheets, duvet covers and pillow cases. And towels. In the loft, next to a bedroom, there is a utility room for washing, dryer and ironing. Can't thank Elly enough for always being there. She sorted all our needs in no time. Thank you Agatha and Elly for making our break a great experience. Rana

It was excellent experience with the house, village and hosts
We were in the house for 7 days. The village is quite, green and with friendly people, very central in the country and it was easy accessible to all interesting places. It was also very close to Amsterdam. The hosts are very friendly and help us in all things. The house is comfortable , well equipped including the kitchen . Very nice: 6 bicycle are free for guests. We are very satisfied and recommend this place for other guests.

Wonderful place for a large group or family
We loved our stay in De Kwakel. The housekeeper was easy to work with and very friendly. The area is beautiful and gave us easy access to all the sites we wanted to see, plus the airport was only 10 minutes away. We loved the bike rides we got to take using the bikes at the house. There were 4 bedrooms and beds for 8 people. The house is kid friendly and had a neat eating area outside that we enjoyed when the weather allowed. If you chose this place, you will not regret it. To the owner and housekeeper, thank you for helping our vacation in The Netherlands be so wonderful.

Un alojamiento correcto para hasta 8 personas, confortable y bien equipado salvo por el hecho de tener un único baño (hay un aseo pequeño, pero solo un baño con ducha). Propietarios amables y atentos. Lugar muy tranquilo, excelente para usarlo como base para moverse por los Países Bajos. Muy cerca de Amsterdam, de Utrech y de los pequeños y pintorescos pueblos de la provincia de Holanda. Recomendable.
