"Warm cosy and comfortable property with 'character' and in a good location for visiting Vézelay and area. Renovated and modernised inside to a good standard, with pleasant outdoor seating areas. Bring your own teapot if you need one! A useful bread van comes 3 times a week with baguettes. Nearest village shops (in St Père) are about a 10 minute drive. Neither our 'school' French nor the owners' English was good so the booking process via the web site emails wasn't easy. The whole booking process...

"The mill is surrounded by water and trees so, despite the excessive heat during our week's visit, we stayed more comfortable than expected. The owners are both discrete and available if necessary and the location was very good to allow us to see the things we wished to see."

"We had a wonderful stay in this lovely house in a beautiful rural setting. The configuration of the house was perfect for grandparents, parents and 6 month old; especially important to us were our own bathrooms and loos! Many houses I looked at booking only had one bathroom.. the area was lovely and we enjoyed exploring the canal, the local town including the impressive ruined castle in Moulins-Engilbert. "This nice chalet is rather isolated. You really must love nature and forget a bit culture, although it's possible. But before reaching such places you must drive difficult small roads."
