"We were delighted with our stay at Shady Grove. The cabin is extremely well laid out, clean with quality throughout. My wife and I enjoyed hiking on the private 3 mile trail, seeing the grapes up close and from the cabin. The area is completely secluded and private with the exception of deer, fireflies, bluebirds and rabbits. The outdoor amenities were great and we used the grill for dinners we enjoyed on the patio. We will definitely plan to return."

"Very nice cozy cabin, close to AT and trails, 30 minutes to Roanoke. Nicely appointed with kitchen items, seating etc. Driveway is steep and gravel with some concrete for traction at sharp turn and ok after a trip up and down but more of a challenge in the dark. Secluded and quiet and a great place to relax. Bring binoculars if you’re into birds, saw scarlet tanagers, ovenbirds, pileated woodpeckers +"

"My husband and I chose this beautiful cabin to spend our 10th anniversary. We were continuously thrilled with every aspect of the cabin and property. It was the perfect place to unwind and relax! We saw a mama and baby deer, along with several other deer, during our stay. It is a fantastic place to stay as it's not far from Lexington and Staunton, but is also secluded and peaceful. "Everything was just right, easy, and lovely. Clean, well kept, perfectly stocked. It seemed to be recently renovated - nice appliances, modern heating and cooling units, new pots and pans. So many times when we travel there are little things that become stressors, but really this was just absolutely stress free."

"Absolutely perfect stay. Everything is exactly as pictured. The bed is so comfortable, the shower and tub are divine. The creek is cool and refreshing. Bring firewood and charcoal, paper plates if you don't want a lot of dishes. Bring a good book and enjoy the view from the front porch. Lay under the stars. Relax. You are completely disconnected no service at all."

"A Beautiful home in the middle of pure nature. Relaxing in that Hot Tub with those amazing views is tough to beat! The home offers everything one ever really needs and Charissa, the Property manager, was very easy to work with and reachable at anytime. "The place was very small and cut up. It was dirty and had ants all in the kitchen. Every room was in some form dirty including showers and toilets. Dangerous stairs to get upstairs and down. Found slugs in basement where two bedrooms were located. Water dripped out of the ceiling onto kitchen counter. Dirty inside cabinets, drawers etc. no where near worth the amount per night. Completely unacceptable. Reached out to owner and her response was that she cleaned it when she was there. Some areas...

The host Lynne and her husband were absolutely amazing and welcomed us to tour their family farm which was a true gym with stunning views.
